Poor Excellent

This is why we go to the movies, to be ENTERTAINED and nothing else.

This movie brings back the excitement of the 80's & 90's action movies I grew up with. You have the good guys and bad guys and some innocent hostages who need to be rescued. You root for the good guys and are entertained for 2 hours instead of being force fed an agenda. There is some language and violence which you would except but a great action/adventure/survival movie I'd recommend for sure and NO WOKE anywhere in this one.

Not sure if woke, good watch

Token black character. Ironic the token black character is a convict since the woke left hate that. Minimal if any woke themes, otherwise not noticeable.

90's Action Throwback with No Woke

I didn't notice anything woke. This is typical of 90's action movies with passable VFX and decent action and acting. The story is nothing original and there are a lot of ridiculous implausible scenes that make no sense. If you can turn off your brain and enjoy old school action movies, it's ok for what it is.

Hear me out: "Pitch Black but with Filipinos instead of aliens"

"Plane" is a mixed bag. So much is well done, but implausibilities detract.

Set long after 9/11, the movie nevertheless features ridiculously lax security and safety procedures. For example, the plane is experiencing severe turbulence, so the captain leaves the cockpit to check on the passengers?! You had one job, dude, FLY THE PLANE! Has the director ever even flown post-9/11?

You'd think that the blunders would continue once back on the ground, but no, or at least I didn't notice. But I'm not military.

It is either a 3 or 4, depending on how much you can disregard the first part. Nothing woke.
