Really good war time movie, no Woke at all!

Was surprised at how good this movie was overall. You knew how it was all going to play out after watching the trailer but the actor who played Ahmed was very good in it and we already know Jake Gyllenhaal to be an amazing actor. Just a wonderful story of paying back your debts to someone who went above and beyond to save your life in war. The action and fight scenes were very gripping and well shot, really kept you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommend this one!

No Woke War Movie

No woke here. Good war with some inaccuracies that can be overlooked. Well acted with good cinematography. This is not a typical Guy Ritchie movie nor is it a typical big budget Hollywood action war movie so don't go in expecting that. This is more a look at the relationship and loyalty built between American military and interpreters. Well done and worth a watch.

Bros don't leave bros behind

Guy Ritchie's The Covenant is an epic story of heroism and reciprocal bro-heroism. It's not woke.

A review I had read said it isn't really a war movie, but it's very much a war movie, with intense squad level combat against the Taliban. Good thing I didn't watch it with my wife.

Given the title, I was expecting it to have a religious theme, but it did not. It could have used a little Mel Gibson direction, but it's a great movie.
