Same as #1: pretty and shallow
Same opinion as for the first movie: visually ambitious, lacks the depth of the original comics, but still entertaining, and Perlman is a miss, sadly in the titular role.

Visually interesting, but not quite up to the comics
The movie nails Mignola's visuals rather accurately, although Del Toro's influence is unmistakably there.
The actors do a good job with their respective characters.
All this, except for Hellboy. Which can be construed as an issue in a movie named Hellboy.
In my opinion, Perlman misses the character by a country mile. His HB comes off as arrogant, big-mouthed and immature. Which is to say, Perlman probably shines through the makeup. Said makeup being vaguely adequate only.
All in all, a rather fun action romp, but lacking the substance of the comics.

More 'Dumb' Zoomer Comedy
Some DEI casting and some feminist nonsense. The majority of astronauts throught history have been men but here it seems most of
the candidates are female. I only made it about 40 minutes and that was enough. The acting is fine and all, Roberts is a good enough actor and capable of doing comedy but this is just not good. It's another one of those 'stupid' comedies except it's just not funny and entirely too stupid and implausible. Dumb comedy works when done right and has been around for ever-Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello all made successful careers out of it. Even more recently Adam Sandler and the SNL people built empires around it but it seems like modern writers just can't pull it off.

A Step Down From The First
Canadian made movie with a large amount of DEI. Media good, police corrupt and bad. The little girl is a bit of a Mary Sue and an annoying girl boss type attitude. Also her acting is very bad, no emotional range, no facial expressions, just blank monotone line delivery.
The story is a decent continuation of the first one but despite having 4 times the budget this one actually feels more low budget
than the first. Very disappointing as I actually enjoyed the original.

SyFy Channel Quality
Massive amount of DEI casting in a 5% black France. Lesbian characters. This is typical feminist garbage, where all positions of power are held by females and most main characters are female, and superior to the males. There is virtually no white male characters anywhere to be seen in the entire movie other than a few background ones. The makers of this movie seem to think France is entirely populated with women and minorities. Also not woke but politically motivate is the very preachy environmentalist propaganda. The acting is mostly bad, the CG is cheap and poorly done, the writing and story is unrealistic nonsensical trash. All the characters are just stupid people doing stupid things. This would be right at home on SyFy channel.

Another Middling Comedy
I only made it 45 min into this but the only thing I noticed was a secondary lesbian character. The acting is all fine but the writing is terrible. Effron's character is just annoying and very unlikable. The dialog is bad and again another 'comedy' with no actual funny content. A few amusing moments maybe but that's it. it's not really a terrible movie it's just bland and boring.

I'm going to bump this film a bit
Ok. I get it that Jessica Alba is quite petite compared to the badass dudes she allegedly kicks ass of. Girl Power! I don't know. Is Hollywood pandering to aspiring girl kid assassins? Or, to men that find Jessica super sexy and hot? Or both? The plot is absurd, but the action, albeit unbelievable, is fun. I bet Hollywood is looking to call out those troglodyte males who accidently say that Jessica Alba is one awesome looking woman, forgetting it's Girl Power.

Not Woke But Kind of Strange
Nothing really woke. Some mild DEI in the background characters but that's maybe it. The acting is fine and the CG is ok. I'm not
really sure who this is marketed at though. It's too silly for adults and the story and themes is too serious for kids. It's also not really funny, more amusing than anything. It's not really a bad movie it's just something that exists.

About On Par With The First One
Only woke is too much DEI hires in the secondary characters. This is maybe a little better than the first one but not much. Acting is ok with some notable bad actors in the background characters-this makes sense considering the DEI. The story is ok, the movie does take place in the dark a lot so it can be hard to make some of the action out. The highlight is the good kills and well done blood and gore fx. Basically whatever you thought of the first one this is close to the same.

Forced LGBTQ Character!
To ensure inclusion and for no other reason, they made Raka the orangutan gay, yet his orientation serves no purpose. Stopped watching immediately.

Exactly What You Would Expect From Modern PG-13 Horror
Huge amount of DEI casting, checks most boxes of varieties and colors. Gay and lesbian characters, mixed race couples. Generic done a thousand times story, annoying characters, some of the acting is really bad. Another PG-13 horror that relies heavily on cheap jump scares and loud noises. Every bad horror cliché imaginable and a lot of mediocre CG. Another victim of terrible writing. How do these college kids have the money to rent a gated mansion in Catskills? Then when they run out of beer the literally break down a padlocked door with a keep out sign trying to find booze in the house to steal. More junk PG 'horror' to avoid.

More Netflix Feminist Trash
Full disclosure I could only make it to the 25 min mark of this trash. All the usual feminist tropes, white men bad, females stronger and good. This is another small over powered female physically manhandling males twice her size with ease. The acting and dialog is awful all around, the fight choreography is laugh out loud bad. The story is copy paste cliché done a million times before. The writing is just abysmal. This is in the opening scene of the movie-a vehicle is being chased through the desert by 2 enemy trucks and taking fire. There is a sniper on the ridge providing cover. There is a slow motion shot of the sniper firing
and everything freezes and stands still while the camera follows the bullet across the desert in a straight line and hits the driver.
That's right a straight shot with no lead time at a distance on a vehicle moving at high velocity. Then the secondary truck takes out the lead vehicle and 2 enemies jump out in the open and approach. At this point the sniper cover is completely ignored and the movie pretends like they aren't there any more to easily deal with the 2 targets. It's this kind of no effort trash that tells you exactly the kind of movie you are in for.
