Watchable 1987 dark comedy with Richard Dreyfuss and Danny DeVito with some pretty good acting. While there are some really funny moments they are few with more of subtle dramedy style to it. A decent movie but not without some problems. At almost 2 hrs long it starts to drag after a while with not a whole lot happening other than salesmen sitting around talking. I think it could of benefited from a slightly shorter tighter runtime to speed things up a bit. Some character reactions to things seem a little off as well. How many times can these two scream at each other in apparent hatred yet nobody ever throws a punch. After a while it gets a bit grating and you just want one of them to kick the other one's ass and get it over with. There's nothing woke and they do a good job of getting the 60's feel right including all the incredible cars. Still worth a watch just don't expect a laugh out loud movie.

How do you have this many name actors in a movie and turn out something this bad. Nothing about this is funny, none of the jokes land at all. Every character is made to be as annoying as possible and nobody is likable. The acting is ok and this is squarely on the director who happens to be Jonah Hill. I've never understood why he is so highly regarded. He's not really bad but he's an average actor who is basically the same character in every movie including this one. This was just painful to watch and I gave up after 30 minutes. As for woke there is some Dei casting and an over the top flamboyant gay character.

They try not to lie in their "news", they are omiting facts to skew the Bias, but sometimes they think they can get away with it (like with Charlies murder)
But always Woke, hardcore Left, ultra-green, gender speak. Everything thats not in their bubble is far/ultra right.

A Korean crime thriller and I guess dark comedy. The first episode is pretty confusing. Lots of random flashbacks along with character hallucinations that make it hard to follow. Some pretty good acting and a decent idea, at least in theory. This would of worked better as a movie than a series. It's just to slow and drawn out. Every episode gets more and more implausible and ridiculous with the coincidences. I watched the first 3 episodes and while it's somewhat interesting just not enough to hold my attention. The main character is just not likable at all and that doesn't help. He's such a pathetic beta and while it makes sense with the character I just started getting annoying with him after a bit. It's not really woke in those episode but there is some low level feminism that could potentially get worse as the series goes along.

Another old-school throwback type, there's been a lot of these lately. There was a surge of these types of movies in the late 80's early 90's.
Creature/monster horror/comedy with over the top gross shock gore as the selling point. They were never really scary and this isn't either.
The acting is average and it uses mostly if not all practical FX that are very hit or miss. The humor is just not funny though and despite only
75 minutes long it gets old and boring rather fast. They also made some really strange setting choices. All the music is 80's as is the home
décor but there is a PlayStation 1 hooked up to a modern flat screen TV playing a movie from 2011 on it. Everyone has cell phones and all the cars are modern. It's weird and makes little sense as does a lot of this movie. It's silly dumb and unfortunately just not that good. There's some DEI casting in the only 2 female actors under 80. 1 is mixed race Philippine and the other mixed race Chinese. One is set up as a love interest for the white son.

Feels a lot like the late 90's early 2000's screwball, misfit character/redemption comedies. An Apple TV movie I had never heard of yet was surprised how much I liked it. If you like those types of movies you will probably like this. Same characters, humor, general feel. The humor for the most part is good. There is a few cringe scenes but it manages to keep them to a minimum. There is maybe a little DEI in the casting, there is no race baiting or anything brought up but it's there. Also one scene about 30 seconds or so where a character dismantles the entire covid hypocrisy with a comparison to the 'dangers of pickleball over tennis.' It's clearly a joke but if you don't like anything that can be considered 'political' it's about 30 seconds to a minute and that's it.

A darker, more adult-toned adaptation

Even though the animation still looks a lot like the old Batman: The Animated Series that used to be on TV, the storytelling feels a bit grittier and way more faithful to the comics. Honestly, it’s really solid.
Zero woke.

Really good adaptation.
Hope part 2 drops soon.

Way too many annoyingly "modern" characters like the priest or whoever he was during the beginning funeral, Lois (Hal's mom), the girl bullies in the bathroom/class, Hal's brother Bill (the younger version mainly), Ted...
Why is there "sex education" in the combined class of Teenagers? Westerners are so disgusting.
The story gets somewhat interesting when the brothers grow up (at least to me).

The reimagined cringy & nonsensse story.

The cringe is JUST WAY TOO MUCH. Most camera movements, acting, dialogues, etc., are just awful.
What does the title even mean? She didn't die in the movie. Was the meaning of "Death" in the title just for her killing in self-defense?

It's a nice slice of life show of a dying Britain

The Vets etc. aren't Woke. The Narrator sometimes gets lines that are Woke. or utter Bullshit like: They wear Masks to protect the Animals from Covid (in the current 2026 Fall Season)

Watch the first 2 Seasons, maybe 3 and 4, skip the NBC Bull!
Jokes fall flat in the last 3 Seasons, Woke AF in the End especially in the last Season... George Flyod is a Hero.... Get Vaxxed, ACAB..., Blacks good, whites the devil.... Full on NBC CNN ABC Rhetoric disguised as a "Comedy Show"

So I didn't realize this was some sort of experimental movie. There is no dialogue at all and almost no sound period. 90 percent of the movie is
slow motion with loud blaring 70's songs playing over top of it with no other audio. It's not like nobody talks either, the characters clearly are
talking but there's just no audio. It feels like someone made a movie then somebody else removed the audio track and remixed various song over top of it. It's like watching a whole bunch of music videos stitched together into a movie. It gets incredibly boring very quickly. I wasn't paying much attention by the 30 minute mark and started skipping through the rest of it. A pretty well made movie as far as production goes. Everything looks right for the 70's and it seems to be well made. It's just a shame they decided to butcher it with the dumb audio choices. The only woke I really saw was some DEI casting but given it's the 70's in Detroit it may not be that inaccurate. Hard to tell anything else as it's pretty much incomprehensible as a story.
