Traveling in a London circus bumper car isn't too funny
Time Travel is Dangerous! bills itself as a comedy and makes no excuses for it: the jokes are kind of in-your-face. I didn't find the movie funny and I don't even know why. The jokes are there and it's a quirky film, just no humor in it for me.
I was going to discount this movie as watchable, not too serious and not worth any type of re-watch, but as it went on, the film grew on me. Everything about it is pedestrian in a way, but it kept on keeping on and I kept watching. Soon, I started to like the two girl characters and even their misfit science buddies. By the end, I think it's a fun little "indie" type of film and I might want to see it again. Worth checking out. No political correctness or woke subtexts at all.

This is one of those parody horror movies that's all comedy not horror. While there's nothing really woke it's not that good either. There are a few
decent laughs but mostly it's just silly dumb humor. All the jokes go on for just a little too long and by the time the movie's half over your already
bored. You've seen most of these jokes before and there's nothing really new here. If you really like parodies maybe this is worth a watch. Nothing woke that I saw.

As others have mentioned Anya Taylor-Joy is pretty small and scrawny to be believable in the role. However she's never really portrayed as the super human invincible feminist' so I'm giving it a pass considering the type of the movie this is. The acting's pretty good, the FX and action scenes are well done. The story is decent and the writing isn't too bad though there are some cracks in the story and a few things that need to be ignored. Like if you don't want the two sides to interact at all then why give them clear means to see each other and communicate. Further why would you ever put a male and female counterparts
together in the first place. All in all it's a very watchable sci-fi action movie and the small writing issues are few and easy to overlook.

Another older christmas movie. Nothing woke in this one. It's the usual dysfunctional family home for the holidays comedy. I would say this is
not really a happy Christmas movie either and can be a little bit of a downer at times. The humor is great and Robin Williams is in one of his final movies as a bit of a nasty father figure. Still there's some pretty funny stuff here and it all generally comes together in the end. Another one for those who have enough of the happy shiny hallmark type Christmas movies.

Foreign films to save the day!
(NO SPOILERS)
If you haven't seen the first Troll (A Norwegian film.) you should! This is a fun follow up in the same spirit. It's a solid 6/10 and has a bunch of fun moments. I highly recommend watching both in the original Norwegian audio with English subtitles. (The overdubs are cheesy, as always.) The first Troll is slightly better, but this addition didn't fall too short. Both are fun lighthearted popcorn movies. If you like fun 90s movies like Twister (The original, not the horrible new remake Twisters.), Lake Placid, Godzilla (with Matthew Broderick) etc... these movies fall into that vein.
WOKE STUFF:
There's basically nothing woke in this movie (Or the first one... as far as I can remember.) other than some typical "female empowerment".

It's the new deal right in the middle
This is the second film I've watched where we get bombed from the side with a gay couple injected in the middle of the film for absolutely no reason. His husband is possessed. Who's writing these scripts? Do they have to actually tick individual boxes to get the green light? I'd be offended if I were gay. The film takes like a potshot at them and includes the gays just because, for no reason aside from thinking they're such snowflakes that they can't even make it through a movie without at least ONE gay couple in it.
Anyhow, Baby Blue did not turn out as bad as I thought. Once I saw that the cast was YouTube influencer video log types, I immediately hoped they all got killed in the worst way by Baby Blue but as the movie goes on they settle down a bit and it turns mostly into a watchable horror movie. The kids still are obnoxious, brain dead goons created by social media, but they're digestible. Watch this movie if only to see for yourself the gay couple wedged right in the middle. It's kind of crazy.

A kind-of Rom Com Christmas Jingle Bell Heist Movie
As far as Christmas films go, Jingle Bell Heist lives up to that. I like Olivia Holt as Sophia- she's kind of sexy in a Christmas sort of way and plays the part well. The plot is kind of cringe mainly, I think, to the outlandish plot in the second act. It's hard to explain. By the resolution in the third act, things come together well enough for Jingle Bell Heist to qualify as a watchable film and not one that belongs on The Hallmark Channel.
It's certainly not one of my top Rom Coms that I like to watch for the pure sappiness and predictability of the story, but I can recommend it on a Sunday afternoon if you're down for a campy, somewhat love and capers story.

Pretty good, though some nonsense
I'm really enjoying this, though there are some annoying things.
First several of the women are massively disrespectful, manipulative cunts and there's an undercurrent of 'men are bad and keeping us down so we have to spy on and try to poision them and such' with some of it.
Little John is a big black dude, don't pretend it wasn't on purpose. I actually like the character, but it's the fact they do this shit on purpose as some kind of retarded message.
And at one point he meets 3 'brothers' and one ends up being a girl with a guys name.. it comes across as new age faggotry intentionally as they tend to do this intentionally but I can't really tell. It 'could' match them wanting to survive out in the forest and not wanting others to know.. but you know, it's probably not.
If it wasn't for that it would be rated alot higher. I get sick of this shit coming in to ruin shows.
Other than that a good storyline for the most part. Kind of makes me want to go back to old robin hood movies to see it without the stuff i've mentioned.
Maybe I should try the 2009 Robin Hood show that I just found out existed.

Not really a Christmas movie in the traditional sense but it takes place around Christmas. This is one of our favorite yearly movies for the holidays. Great acting and the jokes come at you fast with a lot of slapstick physical humor as well. Reynolds plays the fat kid in high school stuck in the friend zone with his secret crush. He gets humiliated and leaves town becomes a bit of successful douche and go's back 10 years later to get even. Anna Faris plays a hilariously insane pop star. May not be for everyone but it's one of our favorites. Nothing woke.

We are nowhere near the 1980's and will never be again
I was trying to find out if there was a gay-man plot in Killer Rental and since I wasn't paying attention too well, I missed the secret clues. The first clue was one of the kids says, "you're so gay" and I immediately thought this was kind of derogative statement from the 80's. It was not. It was, "how cool it is that you are gay". Odd how it gets worse and worse towards the end of the film until we see two bros kissing in their modern experiment of trying to be gay. Seems modern liberal kids can't come up with better things to do than experiment with their sexuality with your bros. What a load of shit.
And I bumped the overall rating down for this movies being a found footage film, although it kind of isn't, but bills itself as such. The acting, the plot, and bits of gore aren't too bad. It's hard to get invested in these kids, so when they die we kind of cheer. I find it hard to recommend this film. Maybe if you fast forward the bro gay scene, it's worth a watch. God, I miss the 70's and 80's.

Can this cell phone slop be stopped?
Here's where technology really shits out. I'm so tired of these homemade, cell-phone movies with horrible acting and piss poor sound. They're a waste of everyone's time and need to be held accountable for lowering the collective IQ of the planet.

You would never guess this was a Netflix movie and not one of those hallmark holiday cookie cutter turnouts. The acting is terrible, everything is too glossy, clean and perfectly decorated. It all looks like a fake set. While there are a few good laughs but most of it is cheesy, eye rolling and cringe. The story is so cliché and unoriginal it might have been and AI script. There's a bit of DEI in the surrounding characters and of course the husbands family is a the mixed race gay grandpas. Do not be fooled by watching a trailer for this. All the actual funny parts are in the trailer, the movie is not really like that. If you actually like those cheesy hallmark movies, and it's fine if you do, you may actually enjoy this more than me.
