Great film, no woke
Back when Hollywood knew how to have fun, they made films like this. A comical action / detective romp with a little romance and a lot of mick-taking of Hollywierd itself. No diversity casting, no politics. A gay dude is a main character but it's not about identity politics or "visibility," it's just plain old funny. No woke.

Affleck without the woke
As a refreshing change from the recent woke cinematography Affleck has been wasting away in, this time we have a pure story about a legacy of crime in Charleston Boston. No politics, no forced diversity casting, no gay. No woke.

I didn't detect any agenda.
Wokeness seems to be a subjective term. In my opinion, if there's no indication of agenda, I don't consider it woke. The opening scene definitely had a forced situation of "toxic masculinity." It as a depiction of a complete jerk getting what he deserves due to some quick thinking by the female characters. The plot tends to be on the somewhat unrealistic side considering the choices made by the main characters. It did, however, present some thought provoking scenarios. It seemed very Shakespearian to me. The connection between a prisoner in the US and a captive woman in the UK was actually kind of clever. In the same way that Michael Corleone, who was "outside the family business" became the ruthless Godfather, the main character encounters situations that turn him from a dedicated, faithful Vicar to a kidnapper. I really enjoyed the series. I'm looking forward to the next season.

Refreshingly Non-Woke!
This movie was actually pretty great. There is 0 wokeness, which is becoming harder to find in anything created in 2020 and beyond. Woke ideology has even ruined cartoons that are remakes or continuations of the ones I grew up watching in the 80s and 90s. There is a rare curse word here and there, plus the use of Jesus's name as a curse word, which kills me. But if that's all there is, compared to the garbage that usually comes out of Hollywood, I would say it's a win.

A great con movie. No woke.
It starts small but as the story progresses, the stakes get higher and higher and the history becomes engaging.

Just a Smattering of Wokeness
Bullet Train was directed by David Leitch, who also helmed Deadpool 2. This movie feels a lot like that one--with a pinch of Kill Bill. It's a hyper-stylized, ultraviolent action-comedy, which I enjoyed watching. Only a small handful of wokeisms sprinkled in cost this movie a 0/5 rating. THE FOLLOWING EXAMPLES CONTAIN DIRECT QUOTES FROM THE MOVIE, BUT I DON'T THINK THEY SPOIL ANYTHING. There was this exchange between characters:
LADYBUG: "God hates me."
MARIA: "No, She doesn't."
A character named Lemon (played by Brian Tyree Henry) had these two lines at different points in the film:
"You look like every white homeless man I've ever seen."
"I get captivated by white-girl tears."
Finally, one male character apologizes to a female character who just tried to kill him. He scolds himself mid-sentence, saying "I'm mansplaining, I'm mansplaining again. I'm sorry."
If these transgressions (and an endless amount of cartoonish violence) don't bother you, you should be fine to watch Bullet Train. I found it to be a good time and only a few unnecessary lines away from being "woke free."

No woke, no laughs
The days of Seinfeld are long gone. Bad scripting, bad acting, incoherent motivation, and everything that can go wrong with editing has happened in this train wreck of a story. Who the heck green-lit this crap?
Reviews aside, though, there's at least minimal woke. Unnecessary side conversations about gender and race. But other than that it's not offensive. Even those conversations aren't offensive. Just unfunny.

Fun, no-woke, ghosties
A kind of re-imagining of Men In Black, this one has our ragtag duo rounding up dead people instead of aliens. Surprisingly, no woke, no forced diversity casting, no sex, no gay, no politics. While it's kind of corny and goofy, there will be nothing to taint your popcorn.

Trying hard to link an unrelated crime to "Trumpists"
A girl vanished in the Vatican City in 1983, and when they roll out the suspects, they are sure to label them as "controversial," followed by "Trumpist," "Covid-denier" and the lot. Since it's a documentary there's no woke involved in casting, but they sure are heavy on the right-wing bashing, not a mention of the other side, even when appropriate (such as references to the members of the KGB). So the producers, and of course Netflix, are showing their seething, slimy, smearing colors and painting TDS on their foreheads nonetheless.
