Illustrates wokeness, but disparagingly
The best element this show has in the plus column is "nostalgia".
The writing is mostly forced and seems almost desperate, but there are some humorous lines and acting to save it. The only wokeness is displayed and then mocked or exposed as being shallow or virtue signaling. It's basically cheesy fun, take it lightly.

Riveting detective drama
I'm very pleased with this Canadian series and frankly surprised it isn't full of woke elements or underlying agendas. The character development is interesting and revealed naturally, and the acting is so thoughtful and smooth that I forget I'm watching a TV series.
I'm only finished with the First Season, and I'm hoping the next continue in this same vane.
Currently it's available on Hulu.

Timely storyline written from a bubble of H'wood LeftWing-ism
The JackRyan series continues with a very relevant storyline to events occurring in today's world. The acting is pretty good overall, although I still have difficulty imagining/accepting Krasinski as an "action hero" and his physical performance in the show reveals why that is. Some actors are believable as the characters but others are obviously ridiculous - like Pena They manage to insert their stereotypes of the political right while making the Left so virtuous. In the later seasons, subtle jabs (like red states voting against Wright's confirmation) expose the bias, too.
Sure, it's watchable and bingeable. But Terminal List is far better. 😁👍

Get through the first hour and you'll be rewarded
Without giving away any spoilers, there are several elements in the first hour that are fully woke: neofeminism, revisionist history, GWMS (guilty white man syndrome), hyperpacifism - all while being perfectly fine with a social structure of royalty/inherited superiority and subjugation of people into classes or stations of work w/little to no advancement. So there seems to be some confusion and conflicted values at play. But make it past this point and one could argue that some enlightenment takes place, or even redemption from a couple of those initial portrayals. The bits of history, action sequences, special effects, and pretty good acting make it an enjoyable movie - and one of those worth discussion afterwards.

Talented musical 'covers', 24/7 woke
Characters are developed slowly, but pretty well. Sloppy contradictions and lack of believability is rampant. Musical numbers and covers are well-done and show a lot of talent and creativity. The wokeness is off the charts with molasses thick preachy themes, scenarios, and utterly ridiculous concepts and principles. Definitely Ryan Murphy's wet dream of propaganda and cultural influence.

Battling within itself
The character development is slow but interesting and patience pays off. Some of the characters are written a bit poorly, but not so much as to ruin the story. The scenery/cinematography is remarkable and very pleasing and satisfying for a 'city dweller' like myself who recently moved to be a bit more 'rural'. The camera work to me is very good and remarkably impressive at times. Some of the story lines seem like an inner battle - the wokeness *wants* to creep in, but it's sometimes held at bay or merely acknowledged but doesn't become repetitively preachy like other shows. I don't consider the Indian tribe victimization to be wokeness since there have been legitimate injustices against Native Americans - the balance/context of recognizing their own injustices and failures is not quite present, though. I haven't completed the series - just finished Season5 w/one more to go.

Must be Bosch's evil twin
This is definitely not the same as the original series - despite all the reviews on Amazon praising and fawning over it. I immediately noticed a difference in the often lack of musical underscores, the existing characters from the original series behaving like bad clones of their former selves, the dialogue being quite flat, and the themes being overtly biased and politically ideological - like they're trying to preach to the audience or qualify for woke award shows by ticking the boxes of requirements. Many of the characters are not believable, scenarios cannot be accepted as possible, predictability and cliche stereotypes are common due to adherence to 'woke protocols'. Big disappointment since the original series was a binge-worthy entertainment pleasure.

Well-produced detective drama w/action
This original series has a very slick and well-produced format - musical underscores throughout on a jazz theme, excellent character development, believable and mostly smart dialogue, comments on or recognizes political and social issues without being preachy or overtly biased
