Looks like the DEI crap finally made their way into James Gunn’s universe

Seems like nobody was safe from the government’s meddling, pushing that whole movement that forced like 90% of Hollywood to pump out low-quality stuff packed with propaganda, run by some puppet government full of bitter people who basically messed up the whole entertainment industry. And yeah, now it’s starting to show.

My take (yeah, maybe a bit early) is based on SEASON 2. I’ve only seen the first episode so far, but after also watching Gunn’s “Superman” movie, I think it’s fair to say his trademark style is starting to fade. Can’t say exactly why, but you can clearly see the shift toward pointless diversity and forced inclusion in the story.

That’s all for now. If the disappointment keeps going, I’ll update my thoughts later.

Edit.:
I watched the second episode and it gets worse.

Yeah! It's woke

Good premise, good start, good cinematography, but it really lets you down with the script and the weak impression, like a copy and paste of Martin Lawrence that the main actor tries to pull off. 👎👎

It’s just a mess.

This isn’t woke, it’s just a mess.
Well, actually, it does have some woke elements, but it’s so all over the place that the woke stuff is the most coherent part. Honestly, I’d recommend watching something else—unless you’re in it just to see Jason Momoa in his best role. Yeah, no joke, he's actually not bad. Sure, it’s super cringe at first, but then he kinda becomes the best thing about the whole movie... and even that gets ruined by the movie itself. Anyway, it’s really only worth watching if you’re high and hanging out with friends.

P.S. Don’t do drugs, kids.

WOKE BOMB

If you made it this far looking for a deep analysis of this movie, I'll just drop a link to a video by two experts who went to the Avant Premiere. Honestly, the clip of them walking out of the theater is more entertaining than the entire movie.

On a personal note, I don’t think Disney is going to completely die because of this movie. They’ve got way too many eggs in different baskets all over the world. But I do think this is the beginning of the end for them as a major blockbuster studio on a global scale.

Why?

Because they disrespected their most hardcore fanbase. And in any industry, that’s called being completely out of touch with your audience. The crazy part is that Disney thinks (and I emphasize thinks - otherwise, pages like this wouldn’t exist) that they control the narrative just because they own radio stations, cable networks, and TV channels all over the world. But history has shown time and time again—no company, no entity, nobody survives when they turn their back on their core audience.

This is the moment where the House of Mouse truly goes up in flames. And why? Because politicians got their claws into it, pushing their agendas on an audience that never asked for any of this. But now, finally, people are waking up to the fall of a company that tried to destroy their most cherished memories -their own, their kids’, and their grandkids’- by turning an entire industry into a propaganda machine for leftist control.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a good thing.

Yes. Yes, it is.

It’s not woke, but it’s filled with another kind of propaganda.

The Brutalist tries to be deep and different, but it ends up being the same old thing: an overly long movie about a “tortured genius” fighting against the world without really questioning the system he’s trapped in. Brady Corbet throws in some flashy visuals to seem innovative, but the story—full of pretentious moments and stiff characters—barely scratches the surface of themes like masculinity, classism, and identity.
In the end, what seems like a reflection on art and oppression turns into a one-sided take where the protagonist finds refuge in Israel, without the film ever stopping to consider what that actually means. Instead of challenging the audience, The Brutalist settles into stale nostalgia and ends up feeling more like propaganda disguised as arthouse cinema. It’s not really woke—it flirts with progressive themes, but in a way that feels shallow and ultimately leans into a safe, traditional narrative. Worst of all, it fails to actually entertain, dragging on for three and a half hours without enough substance to justify its runtime.

Yeah! It's woke

It's a shame that when I came to check out this movie a couple of days ago, nobody had rated it yet. But anyway, I can weigh in on the previous comments and add that, even though I took the risk of watching it knowing it might be influenced by DEI policies, the premise intrigued me enough to give it a shot.

I usually avoid watching too many trailers to keep from getting spoiled, but when you're trying to escape the grip of woke propaganda, a little warning is always appreciated. This time, though, I walked right into it.

That aside, I have to say that, at its core, the movie's concept had potential, but the execution is all over the place. It has its ups and downs, some moments are interesting, while others are so ridiculously bad they completely pull you out of the story. And then there are parts where you just sit there thinking, Who the hell wrote this? A 14-to-16-year-old?!

In the end, whatever good ideas it had were buried under an excessive dose of radical feminist and forced inclusivity propaganda—things nobody asked for, shoved in just to tick boxes instead of telling a good story.

Period.

Don't waste your time

This movie hasn’t even come out yet, and just by looking at the poster and hearing all the comments from the so-called protagonist, Anthony Mackie, you can already tell that there’s no Captain America in this story. Not at all. That’s not what this is about. It’s about values and representation—or as the actor himself put it: "To me, Captain America represents a lot of different things, and I don’t think the term ‘America’ should be one of those representations."

So don’t expect anything good to come from a movie where even the main actor doesn’t respect or understand what his character truly stands for. This is just more propaganda—exactly what you’d expect from the guy who ended his series lecturing politicians with that famous "Do better!"

But who knows?
Maybe I'm wrong and it's even worse.

Worth watching

This movie isn’t just good—it’s an instant classic! It’s already spawned (and will probably keep spawning) amazing video memes and iconic references all over social media. And no wonder—Ben Schwartz absolutely nails it as the voice of SONIC, Keanu Reeves brings his signature coolness to SHADOW, and, to top it all off, we get a double performance from Jim Carrey in one of his best comedy roles—times TWO!

It’s already available to watch online worldwide, but if it ever gets some kind of re-release or pops up in your local theater again for any reason, do yourself a favor and go watch it (in the original audio, of course).

YOU WON’T REGRET IT.

P.S.: No woke stuff here. It’s Jim Carrey—he’s never been into that.

Jim Carrey may not be woke. But Ben Schwartz absolutely is. Pretty sure Keanu also supports them LGBTQ people. Check your stars better, bozo

Not woke, just bad.

If you're like me and come to this site to check which movies are woke and which aren't, let me tell you, there's no woke content here. But honestly, there's nothing gripping either. The story's weak, the acting's bad, and I couldn't even finish it because it was that terrible. It's a shame because Frank Grillo deserves to do well; he's got some solid movies under his belt, but this ain't one of them.

Totally DEI based

I'm not going to spend much time writing these lines since the movie isn't worth it. However, for anyone seeking an objective take on the woke content, it can be summarized as follows:

- Gay marriage has nothing to do with the plot; it's just there for the sake of being there.
- The villains are portrayed as NRA members.
- The bad guys are consistently depicted as following the "white supremacist" trope.
- Meat consumption is portrayed negatively, and the inclusion of graphic slaughterhouse scenes feels completely irrelevant to the plot, appearing more like vegan propaganda.
