Before Tim Burton went woke

Way back in the day, Tim Burton had no identity politics in his stuff, just a unique, creepy method of filmmaking that we kids loved. He always used pasty faces, eerie Victorian Themes, grey, muted colors, and everyone was named Victor.
It was during this awesome beginning that Burton made Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas and the like. This was also one of those non-political films. These days it's all "Dark Shadows," "Big Eyes," and "Miss Peregrine," proving Disney has shredded his talent and replaced it with some semblance of a soul-less caricature of a caricature of a memory of what Burton could have been.

It took me a long time before I relented and saw this film, and I'm glad I did. It was much fun as the hype promised. There's no woke in here, plenty of corn, but not too much over-the-top slapstick. Casting was great, character development was great, and the story was pretty neat.

No politics, no woke, no LGBTPedo, no racism, none of that bananas.

Meh

I mean, how good do you expect the film to be? There is just the expected amount of feminazism and identity politics to irk a filmgoer, and not a shred of reality to it. But did you really expect anything more?

I guess it was interesting how they were able to pull a film out of a board game. For that alone it's kind of worth the watch. If you're drunk enough.
But it's not a film that will change your life.
And yeah, kinda woke.

Forgettable, but not woke

An enigma in the work of Scorcese, this is a children's film that shows magic, adventure, and typical kid-oriented fun. The values are traditional, and there is no political grandstanding or identity politics of any kind.
Kind of took me back to the days of Neverending Story.

Safe for kids, no woke.

Fighting robots! What could go wrong?

The film, while somewhat predictable in nature, features fighting robots, explosions, and sports. It is, therefore, by definition, badass. There really is no woke involved in this story. A sort of post-apocalyptic world, there's a bit of rich-vs-poor story in there, but that's pretty much the theme in every movie ever. It's not otherwise politicised.

No feminazis, no racism, no LGBTPedos, no socialism.

One of the greats

This is a pure, beautiful film that broke every heartstring it came across. It chronicles the career of a prison guard and the people he encounters.

There is a minor bit of woke, I won't deny, in the "black guys are always innocent and white guys are always racist" portrayals sprinkled in here. As we know, Steven King was on a lot of coke, and probably still is, as he oozes further and further down the spiral of socialist propaganda and creation of social monsters for the world to loathe.

But the film, despite its wokeness, is still old enough to pass as entertainment. There are no feminazis, no political lectures, not LGBTPedo, none of that stuff. It also made more than its mark back in the day. So still worth the watch.

The original Addams Family movie

Ah, back in the day before identity politics ruined the Addams Family. This was so much better, the cast much more fanciful and flamboyant. It's a pity this isn't shown more often instead of that awful suddenly-super-ethnic-identity Wednesday crap.

When, oh when will entertainment go back to being for everyone.
This film was for everyone. This portrayal was for everyone. And everyone knows that Christina Ricci is the only Wednesday there will ever be.

Underrated film

Anti-authoritarian in nature, this cartoon extols the virtues of hard work and perseverance. These are naturally conservative values.

That said, there are a lot of stereotypes pushed in the show, where only the weak and geeky are allowed to have a place in society where the strong are bullies. Which side is what? Taking the labels out of the picture, each political side accuses the other of being the baddies. There is no clear demarcation of either being either.

There is no overt woke in here. No racism, no feminazism, no LGBTPedophilia (despite it being Disney). No child is harmed in the showing of this film.

Meh, but not woke

Depp is awesome, but the modern remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory doesn't hold up to the creepy, highly-memable Willy Wonka portrayed by the legendary Gene Wilder. If you're gonna see one, you ought to see the other.

No, no woke. No racism, no politics, no feminazis, no forced inclusionary pedo-picketing cast.

Corny and silly, but mostly not woke

The show is cute, and the performance of Jim Carrey was unique enough to give legitimacy his interpretation of what is a big step away from the fat, lumbering goober that we grew up with in Dr. Robotnik. The film suffers with a little forced diversity casting, but it doesn't make a big deal about it. There are no politics, no LGBTPedo, no lectures. It passes the non-woke test to me.
