Nope...
At first glance this looked okay, dark and gritty.
Upon further inspection it's completely ruined by woke bullshit. Penguin is an ugly tranny, Harley Quinn is asian and the idiot creator was spouting bullshit about "this will upset the racist fanboys".
Also James Gordon is black. It ticks all the 'diversity is our weakness' boxes. I wish I was making this up.
I'm sick of these woketards completely ruining all these awesome things from my childhood.

Terrible
This is certainly a woke movie, full of girlbossing, misandry, and diversity hires, with the lead character literally an autistic disabled black woman who was most definitely not chosen because she is charismatic, likeable, or a particularly good actor.
The premise of the film had a lot of potential and the introduction captured my interest, but is then completely squandered. This movie has no redeeming value, and toward the end I actually started to feel bad because it got so bad that I got the sense that whoever wrote it had never experienced being a human being, in their life, ever. If you told me an alien species wrote this film after observing a 2024 Ivy League college dormitory for one week, I would believe it.
After seeing it I checked IMDB, fully expecting it to have a score around 3-4, but was shocked to see it in the high 7s.
Edit: evidently the initial shill votes have been overwhelmed by actual audience votes because the score is now a low 6.

Hard pass
Level of wokeness in this series is pretty mild relative to today's brazen propaganda, mostly consisting of dumbing things down for women (oh we're in the middle of an emergency where the ship's hull is about to implode? let's sit down and have a long, slow discussion about our feelings), and the usual "can't we all just get along" type drivel.
What's really offensive about this series is how utterly stupid it is. It's Star Trek for normies with a double digit IQ. People do utterly stupid things as a matter of course, constantly, in every episode, in almost every scene.
And to top it off, not a single character is likeable or has any charisma, except maybe the doctor.

Excellent Movie
I didn't see anything woke. This seems to be pretty close to the actual true story. His real girlfriend was Mexican so that is accurate casting. Great acting all around and very interesting story. Well written and told and actual funny humor. Well worth a watch.

Beautiful film
I absolutely recommend this movie. I found the first one sweet and clever, but forgettable. This one touched me to my soul.
The message was absolutely beautiful and made me cry.
**The lesbianism that other people are seeing, I just saw as adoration for a borderline-celebrity mentor.

Fun movie
Phoebe and her mother were definitely the driving forces behind the movie, and the guys were often used for comic relief, but it never felt mean-spirited, which is more than I can say for a lot of movies and shows these days.
I really liked how they handled the step parent angle.

Super fun!!
Race and gender are never ONCE brought up.
The lead is an extremely intelligent woman, who is kind and genuine with the people around her.
The male lead is BUTCH and allowed to be so without condemnation.
Fantastic summer popcorn flick.
An absolute delight to watch.

A quietly woke film
This is the third "A Quiet Place" film, a prequel. I have a soft spot for movies with almost no dialog, so I liked this. However, a prequel should not rush over the confusion that would occur on day one of an alien invasion. In particular, learning that the aliens are blind should take some time, but it happens instantly, universally, and without explanation here.
The lead actress, Lupita Nyong'o, is Mexican. Well, she was born in Mexico to Kenyan parents, unmistakably pure African. She has been in many woke movies in recent years, most notably Black Panther "Wakanda". She plays a published intellectual poet. Her character is the brave hero to her white male companion, who inexplicably follows her and can't quite hold it together emotionally, so he is a liability. It's hard to give an accurate woke score with so few characters, but I will give 1 woke point for not even using an American black for the female, 1 woke point for making her the brave one, and 1 woke point for the pathetic white male.
The cat, "Frodo", was a horrible actor. Cats lose their shit over the smallest things, like cucumbers. A weird as hell alien would send any cat flying for cover, and you'd probably never find it again (much less over and over). And a cat would certainly hiss when cornered by an alien monster. Not one hiss! Jonesy was a much better actor.
Still, the opening minutes are beautifully and masterfully filmed. That made a good impression that did not quite make up for fumbling the initial alien kick-off and ultimately losing momentum.

Not Good But Oddly Enjoyable Somehow
No woke. This is not a good movie but it is a very fun movie. The story is completely crazy nonsense. The acting is not great and too much time is spent on the human weird story. The monster fights however are so much fun and the miniature fx and destruction are well done. This movie is much more entertaining than it should be and a must watch for Godzilla fans.

Mild but intrusive
As someone allergic to girlbossing and shows that teach that it's virtuous for women to be rude entitled twats, I wasn't able to get through more than a few episodes. It may not be a dealbreaker to those who are desensitised to this trope.

Commercial for Zoom and Facetime
Woke consists of over representation in DEI casting. The is a terrible 'movie'. The entirety of this is shot through zoom calls, live streams,
phone cams, security cams, facetime, you get the idea. The overall idea isn't bad in itself it's just horribly made. The acting and dialog is terrible. The story progression and writing is so poorly thought out and implemented. There is just no reason to watch this other
than morbid curiosity.
