It's a shame because before the film I was very hyped for CM. Unfortunately, the gender stereotyping, girl=good, boy=bad ideology, blatantly unlikeable characters etc made this one a chore to get through. I've rated it overall higher than everyone so far, probably just because it seems like the film was better in my mind when comparing it to Phase 4 of MCU...

While the film is entertaining, it's obviously made for a woke audience.
The incredibly talented, intelligent, perceptive and sleuth Sherlock is continually bettered by his obviously far more talented little sister.
I might have rated the film higher, but the pandering to the 'modern audience' just frustrated me no end.

Great show. Woke free

Moving stories, brutal fights, funny moments. Wonderful combo.

So far, zero woke. I've only watched 100 out of 1000+ episodes. I hope I don't have to update this review in the future.

Starts out ok

It begins interesting enough but by the end a black group of militant "freedom fighters", never before introduced, arrive on the scene, while it drops or kills off previous characters.

This group is communist, segregationist and hates whites but will grudgingly work with them briefly while they save the day against the Japanese. Afterward they tear down everything that pertains to the past and what they see as the white world. Including the Statue of Liberty.

It was a diverse show, with minorities and gays and whites all in the same boat, but then
morphed into a very divisive show. It could've been a show about bringing people together but instead decides to tear them apart.

Overall

Not Very woke. It does have a mixed relationship but given they were the 2 people with the most sense at the end of the world; it worked for me.
Some people had more of a problem with the woman being older than the man. Some may find that woke.... I did not.

Not Woke

Morgan Freeman is an excellent "Red" and adds a great deal to the movie.

A great film about rising up and persevering over the worst hardships that life deals out. And the friendships that make it possible.

Over The Top Splatter Film

The wokeness is one pointless unnecessary gay sex scene. The first 45min are pretty good. Ultra violent gory splatter fest. But then the 'monster' is introduced and it takes a down turn. It's basically the terminator. Superpowered killing machine......sometimes. Literally punching through people with one shot, but then hits someone on the head multiple times and doesn't kill them. Also way to much stupid people standing around watching other people get slaughtered instead of escaping. Lots of pointing guns at people with plenty of time to shoot....but don't. It's just too stupid unfortunately. Still if you love gore and splatter its not a terrible way to spend 2 hrs.

Not woke

I found this entertaining overall but for the life of me I can't think of any part of it that would be considered particularly woke.

Very woke but very well written.

The acting is excellent enough and the dialogue snappy enough to almost overcome the overwhelmingly exaggerated diversity. Everyone is represented here with even a trans.
The Univeral government in the entire world apparently is primarily female and black with the old white guys in power needing to be "managed".
I guess my general mistrust of all government helps in my enjoyment of this cleverly written show. Even if it's obvious.

Not woke

Fantastic character study of 2 polar opposites and an unpredictable progression that never fails to entertain.
Not in the slightest "woke".
There is one major character where it is hinted might've been gay. But there are no gay scenes and nothing that should get anyone's panties in a wad. It's slight and subtle and it's purpose is to show a bond between those characters when revenge comes calling.
I have no problem with gayness or any of the other so called marks of wokeism except when its obviously excessive and over exaggerated and it takes you out of the story so that plot , creativity and entertainment are sacrificed for box checking.
None of that here.

Very disappointing.

Loved the previous films. Wasp has clearly overstepped Ant-man in his own movies now though. Again, it's just frustrating to see main characters in ether own franchises replaced by 'minority groups' for the sake of it. It would have been much better to add some more newer characters so Scott could shine in his own movie with the help of others.
My son got a kids book about Ant-Man from the library a week after I saw this film. Th ebook involved a 'zombie invasion' of NYC while the Avengers were busy dealing with some other issues... It was a far superior story and concept than this film. :(

Insanely poor...

From the girl = good, boy = bad messages, changing of the source material, awful dialogue and some lame special effects, LotR: RoP is just bad- the wokeness AND the overall series. I couldn't finish it. I got about 4-5 episodes in and couldn't take any more.
