Feminist Drivel not genuine to the original

The diversity equity and inclusion is off the charts as feminist propoganda continues to permeate all venues of formerly highly esteemed source material.

In the first episode, it is clear from watching this show that you are in for a bad time. The shoehorning of a human character into High Charity is a huge misstep! The degradation of Master Chief is unforgiveable and the voice acting is terrible.

Tons of female characters that don't do anything, and all sorts of races present except for the white ones of course. Anyone who rated this as not woke is a liar.

Superman & Sabrina the Teenage Witch mash up

Not woke, casting just went a bit overboard on the diverse background characters with one liners or otherwise that it went from acceptable and token to noticeable and forced.

The birth of the emasculated male lead?

I remember seeing pieces of episodes from the first season(s?), and thinking, yeah, show's OK, but not enough to watch alongside my wife.

I also remember seeing later episodes, and wondering why bother casting Nathan Fillion, when incompetent male lead (tm) can be played for cheaper. Don't know how far into the series, but the red-headed daughter had grown out of baby fat and very much into adult face fat, so, anti-depressants in potential conjunction with alcohol can't be ruled out.

As for the show itself, what little I've seen was rather clever, Fillion is just good, and Katic has presence, just not quite enough for Fillion to bounce off of. Close, but no cigar.

Extreme(ly unlikable) girl boss on the French Riviera

Skipped through 2 episodes, couldn't watch.

Tries to be a mix of The Persuaders and Castle with current-year updated aesthetics. At least succeeds in the script emasculating the charismatic, hyper-competent male lead.
So yeah, Castle.

As for the two female leads (yeah, two, might be a lesbian arc in there in further episodes), the actresses are true to their characters.
Professionally pathetic.
As cops, they should lose their job and freedom twice or thrice an episode. They are actually worse than Crockett and Tubbs. In between violating code, regulation, law and common sense, they bark at every male in sight.
As actresses, well, they shouldn't have gotten the job to begin with. And, contrary to their likely opinion and the judgement pushed on by the script (they are the chosen ones that every male yearns for), clearly not attractive enough to compensate for their wooden acting.
Planks, really. Utterly stiff, and flat on both sides. Don't know if easy to lay down. Don't care either.
To be fair, they are able to alternate between resting bitch face and talking bitch face, so I suppose there's that.

The male/female dynamic is the only woke component as far as I saw, disregarding the background virtue-signaling social stance of well, everybody. But it's in your face, at least mine, all the time, and extremely loud.

Plot is cookie-cutter, episodic whodunit of the week. With beyond cliche, formulaic overarching plots for the leads (estranged teenage daughter and wrongly-accused good-cop father).
Also, fight scenes, thankfully short. Most Europeans seem unable to correctly hold a firearm. Must be genetics. As in missing chromosomes.
Fisticuffs reminded me of a simpler, more innocent time: Sinanju Master Chiun says, they move like baboons with two club feet.

Aside from the main characters and script, well, Cannes is a beautiful city, and secondary characters are all smokeshows. Good actresses too, quite possibly. Same goes for the males, probably, I can't really judge.

Wasted almost 40 minutes on this, which I could have used to rewatch Remo Williams...

Overall normal and non woke

This is a decent game show you can watch with your older children. Most episodes are not woke, but you can tell the producers are by the guests they choose. 99.9% of the population aren’t confused about biological sex but there is an over representation of this demographic in the episodes.

Decent show, had to stop due to gender ideology

I thought this would be a throwback show and for the most part it is. They have the usual woke elements which nowadays isn’t surprising. For instance I knew the one guy would obviously be an illegal immigrant and I knew they’d make him gay. That’s fine. It’s even okay they make the older woman out of touch and into random conspiracies.
But they also try to insert gender ideology as if it’s normal. They create a world where the staff knows every customer’s “preferred pronouns” and don’t mind butchering English grammar to talk about a “them”. Even the old woman, who they wrote to be the catch all to make fun of non woke, is okay with pretending this is normal.
Would be a good show if I didn’t mind leftism.

Best of the sequels

Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars is the best of the sequels to Starship Troopers. The animation is much better than in Starship Troopers 4. However, a lot of the dialog is cartoonish, the sort of cringe you expect on Saturday mornings.

Spoilers follow.

The full evilness of the Federation is on display here. The Sky Marshall attempts to blow up Mars (which is colonized), with the overwhelming support of the public due to the propaganda. This provides insight into the original movie. It supports my theory in my Starship Troopers review that Buenos Aires was a false flag. It is the same writer for all the movies.

In one of the propaganda newsreels, they interview an obvious homosexual who is spouting propagandized NPC leftist nonsense. It appears the film was making fun of leftists. So it's a bit anti-woke, apparently!

Better than Starship Troopers 2 or 3

This fourth Starship Troopers movie from 2012 is better than the two films before it, but still not in the same league with the first. It's CGI-animated, poorly, and that's its biggest weakness. Animated Carmen Ibanez looks nothing like Denise Richards, and likewise Rico and Carl are far off their marks. The voice actors only rarely hit some similarity to the original voices. Immersion is crippled two-fold, since you cannot force yourself to believe that the characters are real, much less that they are the characters they are named to be.

The plot is at least somewhat interesting. In my review of Starship Troopers, I posted a theory that Carl was responsible for what happened to Buenos Aires. "Evil" Carl is revealed in his full form in Starship Troopers Invasion. Carl is all about sacrificing people if it means aiding the war effort. Rico even gives him a "WTF?" type comment late in the film, and Carmen is furious with him.

There is gratitous nudity and gory violence, albeit poorly animated, so this is not a film for kids. I guess there was nothing woke, though.

Overall, I suggest waiting 10 years, and then we can ask ChatGPT-14 to reskin and remux this movie so that it will be like seeing/hearing Denise Richards and other real actors in the roles here.

Decent Movie Sullied

Generally this is an okay film. Gal Gadot makes a fine Wonder Woman in this first reboot installment. Chris Pine? Meh. But it’s always a bad sign when they hard stop a movie to do a little social guidance. Example: Moroccan comrade randomly complains to Wonder Woman about lack of representation in acting profession. There are other jarring instances like this that only serve to disrupt the flow of the film and signal to modern audiences that the movie makers are hip to the times. Dumb. Heavy handed. Pandering.

Really great show in an alternate universe

A very well made show in an alternate universe where the soviets get to the moon before the USA in 1969. The overall production quality is outstanding, but as you may imagine, Apple uses the show to spread its own woke agenda. It's such a pity, because this show is so good that it's worth a view.
