Just fantastic
Not woke at all. I usually don’t like shows like this, but was told I needed to give it a try. Great acting and directing. Great job of giving the characters personality that are each unique and believable. Also supporting funny.

Number one in wokeness
Small population as most killed off, but 2 random guys that are gay find each other. What are the odds (100% in Hollywood)? Gay porn at episode 3. They didn’t even know each other, yet the writers felt they had to show this. Done with this one after 3. First episode was good. Second was average (or just below), 3rd was horrible and the wokeness poured in thick.

Better than it looks
The lead character is a no-nonsense tough Italian guy from New York who chooses - on a whim - to emigrate to the middle of nowhere in Norway. While it looks like it's trying to be comedy, it's mostly just the absurd situations that get a smirk or two. But it's trying.
The smirky situation, by definition, is anti-woke. When a woke situation arises, the badass gangster handles it the way a gangster would. This includes otherwise huggy-commie-pansy situations as well. It's possible that the Norwegian filmmakers used the concept as a platform to air their frustration with the ineffective policies of their country, showing what problems could be more easily solved with a mobster kinda guy.
There is some "ooh, racist white cops after brown people" stuff, but it's Norway, where are the people are white anyway, so that's kind of unavoidable. There are some drag queens, but that's kind of a joke, not a LGBTPedo thing. So far, so good. (Still on the first season - may change this later...) Very good, actually.

Better than it looks.
A city slicker drives through a backwater part of the country and sideswipes a pickup truck, only to get targeted by a gang of robbers and have his wife kidnapped. Although there is the old trope of "country hicks" in there, there are no "racist white men" storylines or jokes in it, so the bad guys are just bad guys.
It's nice to actually see a husband act like a man and rescue his wife without her busting out her high-heels and roundhouse-kicking men three times her size, too.
No woke at all. No politics, no feminazis, no racism, no lectures, none of that crap. Enjoy.

One of the most stylish films ever made
This absolute masterpiece, quotable and lovable, has not a single drop of woke in its soul. The story of a poor but upright young student at a prep school who takes on a babysitting job over a weekend to care for a foul-mouthed blind old colonel. He instead takes the kid on a trip to New York City, and thus his education begins.
No politics, no forced casting, no feminazis, no racism. Just pure beauty and a perfect tango.

It's woke
Has gay storylines wedged into the movie for absolutely no reason, these scenes are out of place and just there to introduce children who like superheros to gay sex.

Don't be spend the money
Starts off well Otto hates everyone until he meets a Transgender kid. Otto's character completely changes for no reason and after meeting the trans kid once Otto invites him to move in. I left the movie theater at that point, shame could have been a heart warming story instead of a sickenly woke nonsense.

The Estate Offers Dark Laughs and Very Little Woke
I've always been a fan of black comedies, and in these overly sensitive times, it's particularly refreshing when a new one comes along. The Estate boasts a great ensemble cast who deliver an abundance of dark humor. I laughed a lot--which is far from the norm when I watch contemporary films.
There is almost no woke. The worst of it may be a very emasculated character played by the great Ron Livingston. Even there, the over-the-top absurdity of the situations allows for a surprising amount of funny. For those who are bothered by it, there is one interracial relationship (Toni Collette and Gichi Gamba) depicted--which is a very small, innocuous part of the movie--as well as one simply implied. Also along the lines of typical casting requirements, there is only one doctor portrayed in The Estate, and it is played by a "woman of color."
Overall, the movie works best because almost all of the characters are bad people, and the jokes are on them. My biggest warning is that this movie is not for people looking for something wholesome or family-friendly. Again, it's a black comedy, and there are jokes about terminal illness, greedy and conniving relatives, and sex offenders. There is a ton of harsh language and content, so make sure this jibes with your comedic sensibility.
