Dialogues like this are present throughout the series playing the 'oppressor and oppressed' games along with the entire plot which is trash either way imo.

Extremist Feminism.
In the 20 or so minutes I could take of this steaming pile you have strong smart women kept down by the patriarchy. Her bosses are sexist idiot men. Her co workers are sexist idiot men. Her husband is a completely useless moron who cheats with a younger woman. The Italian mob boss is a woman. A self defense class for women that instructs them that if a stranger tells them they look prettier if they smile to punch in the crotch and gouge their eyes out. No entertainment value and should be seen by no one and everyone involved in the making of this should be punched in the crotch and their eyes gouged out.

it's a gradual thing
Up until about season 13 it's quite bearable, even inoffensive. But starting with season 14 the viewer is subjected to the themes and topics he's trying to get away from in everyday contemporary life. It's supposed to be taking place between 1890 & 1910. I would like to see mystery solving and societal representations of that period.

Really good war time movie, no Woke at all!
Was surprised at how good this movie was overall. You knew how it was all going to play out after watching the trailer but the actor who played Ahmed was very good in it and we already know Jake Gyllenhaal to be an amazing actor. Just a wonderful story of paying back your debts to someone who went above and beyond to save your life in war. The action and fight scenes were very gripping and well shot, really kept you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommend this one!

Race baiting wokefest
Take the 1989 original, race swap the main character and gender swap the seagull, and sap the film of any creativity and originality it had and you have TLM2023. An absolute disgrace to the original movie, and just an excuse to make money off of controversy.

NOT the 90's
Checks all the diversity boxes, black, asian, gay, feminist. Stupid straight males. Bad acting, unfunny jokes and bad dialog. How about getting some writers who actually experienced the 90's because anyone who grew up or lived in the 90's can tell you this isn't it. Feels like a bunch of young modern writers who think throwing in some random pop culture references and posters they looked up on Wikipedia will cut it.

Suttle "hidden" wokness
The movie itself is great and will keep you entertained... The characters themselves never said anything to elude to wokeness ( Other than a character saying he is a "Trans-universe character", so take that however you want). Where I spotted wokeness is there were 2 #BLM references, One a badge on a backpack and the other is on a train and there was a trans flag in Gwen's room that said "protect trans kids". Now I feel both are very woke they never were forced on the viewer, But they are in there if you are looking for them, BUT probably would not be spotted if you weren't looking for them.
I gave the movie a full wokeness because anything about, said trans kids, I find extremely woke.

Its a bit woke.
The character Shuri is a total Mary Sue, and barely out of her teens is as smart as Bruce Banner. Give me a break. Other wise, it isn't that bad, but you know what they were trying to do there.

The intention behind the original novel was woke, but it doesn't judge you for rooting for the non woke`
Hopefully that subject makes sense.
I don't think its fair to say this film is non woke. It's author (of the original graphic novel) structured the world in response to Thatcher-ism (he's British) and his interpretation of Nixon is that he is serving his 4th term.
That said, the film itself does a good job of moral ambiguity, and making Rorschach into a fan favourite, however this is completely at odds with the original authors intentions. Granted that is the graphic novel, and I don't think Zack Synder who made this film made it with that interpretation in mind, hence why I say its only a bit woke.
It is very close to the source material (goes to show you that in the 80s even the left could write their political opposition well), but Alan Moore (the book's creator, who wasn't involved in the film) doesn't see Rorschach (who is a Objectivist) as the hero. When you look at it through that lens you do greatly appreciate how Zack Synder did not lean on that interpretation and choose to make it very close to the source material.
I still have to give it some woke, because I know the film is trying to be ambiguous on that ending (and don't get me wrong, it SHOULD do that), its a bit woke for even suggesting the alternative was a viable option.
But its a great film, I just can't let it get by with a non woke score because Alan Moore is a weird woke Anarcho Commie. Thankfully he had the good sense to tell a good story that didn't railroad his politics as the answer.
