Ruined almost instantly.
I lasted about 10 minutes into this show. It's immediately obvious the feminist nonsense of so called 'strong independent women' but dialled up even more, they were walking like cocky, swaggering men.. disgusting, makes it not even worth continuing.
The cover and the fact that looking it up on google where they keep going on about how amazing it is that there's an all female gang.

Thanks. I'm not going nuts. At least not yet.
Hey. Thanks, Michaels for the review. I was like, "Is it me?" or, "are these films just in-your-face propaganda?". Yeah. Not two minutes into the film we see gay men talking about the "best looking man I've ever seen" and giving each other sentimental kisses over the stove. Pioneer Woman would cry tears of, uh, sentimentality. And we can't bother to even sneak the gayness into the film, just bang it over our heads.

Mild Woke
Depending on how we define woke, this film definitely contains woke elements including: homosexual reference with coffee art done by Agent Stone. Racial mixing (if its in the context of ridding the world of white people as we've seen lately). References to Magic Mike. Two extended scenes of shirtless men dancing and playing sports. Apparently one of the writers for this film (they are all men) has a thing for topless muscular dudes. And lastly, in the final battle Robotnik uses a Trump line "good people on both sides." An obvious attempt by these writers to paint Trump as an evil person akin to Robotnik. This should be an innocent kid's film but these writers have taken advantage of it to push their weird agendas. The first film was better.

Pretty good, but getting worse as others mentioned.
I agree with the most recent post. The first season was really good, I still enjoyed the 2nd season but a bit more feminist bs.
The 3rd season i've watched the 3 episodes out so far, and i'm enjoying it for the most part. But the fbi woman is almost ruining it with her completely cuntist disrespectful attitude towards everyone. She talks massive shit to everyone then seriously tells Reacher he's being an asshole, when she's being a massive cunt the whole time.
I'm sick of this kind of shit put into everything, also funny though it showed some truth in that she got into a fight with a guy and was getting strangled and reacher had to save her, yet when she has a guy tied up she acts all tough and makes threats.. yet when it comes to it she wouldn't be able to do shit.
I actually really like the story line so far in Season 3.. but i'm yet to see if she will ruin it. Definately downhill each season with more of this bullshit.

Woke free
Good movie, historical accurate demographic, nothing woke.

Not woke free
Just a little bit better than other marvel movies but woke elements are still there including a lesbian couple

I hate to type this being a long-time Jack Reacher fan
Season 1: Great start. Gritty. Captures the essence of the original book well. Except for that one moment with Neagley... and her amateurishly-handled "no means no" scene.
Season 2: The deviation from the source material is uncanny.
You see, one of the best scenes in the book is when Reacher deciphers a crime scene (Calvin Franz's apartment) with incredibly detailed, razor-sharp detective skills. In the book, the scene really succeeds in showing a unique angle of Reacher's prowess in a way that only Lee Child can.
But that same scene is shown in the series as a moment for (yep) Neagley to (very explicitly) shine as the "smarter version of Reacher".
Lee Child's explanation about this?
"Reacher thinks a lot, and [in the books] there are pages and pages of Reacher puzzling things out. You can’t write an eight-minute scene with Alan Ritchson sitting there, thinking. So we needed a secondary character to bolster the exposition."
Yeah. Sure you did, Lee. Just admit you had a box to check to appease the producers.
Season 3: So far, only 3 episodes out.
Here's the thing... "Persuader" is my favorite Reacher novel. And I can say with absolute certainty that they nailed every important aspect so far. From the locations to the characters (minus some creative differences).
Except the female cop.
In the book, Susan Duffy isn't even 1% of the insufferable hag she is on screen. In the book, she's actually believable.
Season 3 wanted something else, apparently.
Tough-sassy-woman-better-than-her-male-colleagues? Check. In fact, the 3 first episodes are infested with those. And these "boss-lady" scenes aren't subtly executed either. To the point you'd think a socially frustrated high-school sorority girl wrote them.
Horrendous fake accent? Also check. But this is more of a nitpick... because it isn't nearly as annoying as the previous problem.
EDIT (after watching about 5 minutes of episode 4):
Susan Duffy [to Reacher]: "you might be bigger than me, but you are not more important than me. so shut the fuck up and tell me what i need to know."
He IS more important than you, bitch. It's his show.
I'm done.
I could state more issues with the overall series. But I'll let viewers come to their own conclusions.
I don't watch a lot of shows or movies these days. You can't expect good from Hollywood all the time. But Jack Reacher was something I'd give a chance every so often, thanks to the legacy of the original books. IDK if I'll continue though. Got more important things in life to spend my energy on. Hence this'll probably be my last review.
Just that it's sad to see an incredible character like this get nerfed in his own live-action show.

Good movie overall, not entirely accurate
It's mostly correct except for having a out of place Black dockhand in 1830 Germany. It's a small role but with the purpose to never let a movie be all White cast even when it's required. The director's previous movies make me think this was not his but the studio/producers decision thats why i still have a positive opinion of the overall.

Poor Writing and Too Stupid to Live Main Character
Nothing woke. Yet another movie with awful writing and characters. Set 10 years after an apocalypse of some sort. There is no dialogue of any
sort in the entire movie and it makes no sense at all. There is no reason given and all the characters grunt and make sounds but just refuse to
speak. It's so stupid, if you want to make a silent movie than at least give a reason for it otherwise it just comes off as annoying and dumb.
Literally a sentence at the beginning explaining a chemical weapon or virus that destroyed vocal chords and your done. The main character is so
stupid it's hard to believe he could manage day to day life currently much less survive 10 years into an apocalypse. Roaming packs of murderous dogs that don't seem all that dangerous and seem to have lost the ability to smell as they can't locate people right next to them. The shelter appears to be a loose gathering of twigs covering an opening for a door so no security at all and the dogs could just push their way right in if they just remembered to smell. There seems to be a food issue as we are shown a dead fish at one point and people are resorting to cannibalism yet there are animals roaming around and there are clearly trees and other vegetation growing I'm not sure why nobody is growing any food. This is just a really poorly thought out and lazy written film with an idiot main character who would of died on day one.

No Horror, No Comedy, Just Woke
Way over the top DEI representation and casting in non white and alphabet mafia characters. Multiple obese body positive female
castings. All the white males are either betas, drug dealers, sex offenders, murderers or just all around bad characters while the
DEI's are all portrayed as good people. The acting is mostly awful but there are a few decent performances. The writing is laughably
bad in particular to how operations and preceding's go on a cruise ship. It's like a really bad teen CW show from the 90's with some bad language thrown in to try to make it seem edgy. There is also no comedy and not horror just eye rolling garbage.

Watchable but Very Slow and Not Really Horror
Nothing really woke. The cast is almost all women but it makes sense within the story why the men are all gone. The acting is
good and the cinematography is excellent with some wonderful shots. Unfortunately that's about all it has going for it. While it does
an excellent job of showing the hard life of the period living in the dust bowl it does so at a such a dull slow pace. It's another case
of mis-marketing it as horror when it's not at all. There's some attempts at jump scares that don't even work and they shoot a lot of the
scenes in such a way with angels and ominous music to seem like it should be horror but what's happening in the scene doesn't match what they are trying to convey. There's also a lot of characters thinking they see something moving or hear something but nothing ever happens.

Minor wokeness
The casting seems to be somewhat DEI. Check that out for yourself. The bits of wokeness I detected would be the environmental alarmist based rising sea levels. There's a scene where the Golden Gate bridge is under water. Also, the idea that predators can coexist with their natural food supply is a Bambi kind of wokeness. I was hoping for some of the clever humor that Dreamworks is notable for. There's really not much there.
