Still a good movie, even knowing the plot twist
Speaking of plot twist, Singer gives his audience just enough elements to actually see it coming.
Solid cast, solid storytelling, no complaint.
30 years later, it's sort of funny to see Spacey playing a criminal mastermind whose every accuser die suddenly before trial.
Yep, got that right.

Not As Bad As I Expected
So I fully expected this to be very woke and would hate it. I am surprised to say it really isn't very woke. The only really woke aspect is the DEI black rascist female CIA agent. While there were a couple black CIA agents in the 1970's as this takes place in 1969 this is highly unlikely much less a female agent. No surprise her acting is also the worst of the bunch. Also she is the only 'good' character in the group of agents. The white males turn out to be Nazis. There is also the racist use of the term
'cracker' by the black CIA agent for a white male. This being acceptable but the 'N' word not is woke. The rest of the acting is pretty
good. I don't see the Helena character as woke either, she is not perfect, she is not over powered, and is rescued by Indy on several occasions. Replacing the previously established character of Indy's son I believe is more of an issue with Shia LaBeouf self imploding as a person. I found the storyline to be more inline with the Indiana Jones legacy than Crystal Skulls aliens nonsense. This does unfortunately suffer the same problems as that film with the overuse of poorly done greenscreen and CG FX. It all looks too filtered, clean and fake when compared with the OG trilogy. Still overall I think its the better of the 2 newer movies and worth a watch though still an unnecessary sequel.

MAN looks and acts like MAN, WOMAN looks and acts like WOMAN, ABE is cool as fk.(10/10 would watch again)
the only thing that i would change is not make abe political in the last portion, in a true alternative reality he should be focused in his job and in perfecting his craft(hunting vampires).
but at least the movie makes the political insertion makes sense.

No woke that I can see.
Funny and somewhat predictable. Most of the good stuff is in the trailer.

Zombieland without zombies
"Love and Monsters" is a zany yet tolerable comedy, reminiscent of "Zombieland" but with monsters in place of zombies. There's nothing particularly woke about it, unless you count the portrayal of a weak male lead.
The comedy largely hinges on the male lead's cowardice, which can be grating. However, he does achieve redemption by the end, so I don't think this is woke.
His love interest is played by Jessica Henwick, best known for playing Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones. She is half Chinese, half English. Without evidence that this was done for an agenda, I will not flag it.
The monsters in the film were created by the chemical fallout from launched rockets, a form of pollution rather than climate change. The fallout is turning the frogs into giant, gay monsters! This is a possible nod to the carcinogenic rocket propellant Unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine (UDMH), known for poisoning soil in Kazakhstan due to Russian use. While the space shuttle used different propellants, it nevertheless resulted in acidic fallout that killed fish in the launch area.
The soundtrack included 80's new wave band The The, but missed the opportunity to use Love and Rockets, a perfect fit! Their song "So Alive" could have been used either in the car make-out scene when explaining the backstory of the rise of the monsters or at the end, "I feel I'm on top again, baby. That's got everything to do with you. I'm alive, huh huh, so alive."
While I don't typically enjoy zany films like this, "Love and Monsters" had enough moments to keep me entertained. However, my wife disliked it, so your experience may vary.

Perfection - old style TV with modern excellence
Good premise well played with great chemistry by the lead actors
Does what many feel good series do - create a good role for an old TV favorite.
BUT the show is cancelled after just one beautiful season. This programme goes against all that is woke
- The heroes are straight white males
- The love interest is attractive and strong but she never behaves like an asshole
- The bumbling Cop who has lost interest in the job but is still quite good at the job is played by a black man who is often the butt of the joke - very Taboo
Perhaps this is why the series was cancelled?

Spoiler Alert -NOT
Very woke. Every white male is a scumbag as per usual. Diverse cast in senior positions is not unrealistic due to the over-correction we are witnessing in real life politics. This is usually more irritating in historical dramas which then do become less accurate.
AND ... then the 'not really a spoiler alert': now that the agency received narrative has switched from 'Terrorists are usually Islamist terrorists' to the 'threat' of domestic terrorism post Trump and Brexit (often backed by Russia), it is no surprise who the baddies turn out to be.

I tried but Season 4 was the end for me...
I put up with the LGBQT+ crap in the first 3 seasons to see what would happen next and overall it was EXTREMELY violent but still enjoyable to a degree. However this Season 4 is just so political and going no where, except turning main cast members gay for no reason at all and then the main couple of the Boys have an abortion and then all that Woman's right to do whatever she wants with her body is forced down our throats and the so called 'Christian' of the team is the one that did it. So at this point WHO CARES what happens to any of these so called Hero's since they have all done things that are so unredeemable at this point. It literally doesn't matter who wins or loses, I'd feel no better either way in the end. So if you haven't started and have thought about it, I would stay away.... million other things to watch better than this out there.

When dreams become more important than reality
This is a true story about a famous jazz drummer named Gene Krupa. This endearing film is quite the opposite of woke.
SPOILERS for the first 35 minutes follow.
Gene falls for a girl named Ethel the moment she says her life goal is to get married and have lots of kids. In the next instant, Marta, a pixie-like green Orion slave girl, tries to seduce him away. As a result, he loses Ethel to his best friend. Gene's mother, the Vulcan high priestess T'Pau, espouses an austere, spiritual, moral life. Against her wishes, Gene goes to New York with his best friend and Ethel to make it big. Ethel dumps that guy to rekindle the romance with Gene, who is immediately seduced by another green Orion slave girl, Vina. Gene continues to mistreat and neglect Ethel, with predictable results.
In case you're confused, I'm saying this movie features three actresses from the original Star Trek: Yvonne Craig, Celia Lovsky, and Susan Oliver! Susan has a huge role starting at the 30 minute mark. She seems like such a cougar here, but she was only 27. Maybe that was cougar-aged in 1959, and the actor who played Gene was just 20, as was the real Gene at that point in his life.
This movie beautifully moralizes in a traditional way. Men "only want one thing", and Gene foolishly threw it away for fame and debauchery. However, the film moralizes too hard against marijuana, even laughable in spots. Still, it's a great film.

Surprisingly Watchable and Not Woke
This is not woke. Offhanded comment about climate change makes it a little political but not woke. An enjoyable comedy apocalypse story. Good acting, cinematography and creature designs. Generally good CG though some of the creatures look a little off but it wasn't enough to bother me. Though the male lead is a useless bumbling character at the beginning he does make a character progression and find himself and becomes the hero in the end. No Feminism. Only noticed a couple of background or secondary characters. Teens living in a commune? Nope not there, never happened. It's survivors of all ages living in bunkers.

Misandry at its fines
If you want to remember something out of this show :
White males = villains
The rest = poor victims
When you hear the whole woke dictionary in a single episode (words like "heteropatriarchy", "mansplaining") and when the men are all ominous predators, and how they feel is literally marked as "that's their business, don't care about them". Everything is wrong in this show!
