Season 1 okay. Season 2, bring the woke.
There are a few series that have done this. They keep the woke at bay until you get invested in the story. Season one was interesting. There is a homosexual character, but it's incidental. A few episodes into season two, it becomes a central theme. When two high school boys (ghosts) go to the prom and start slow-dancing, that's enough.

Cliche and Unoriginal
DEI heavy casting, multiple mixed race couples or love interests, multiple gay and lesbian characters. Very cliché teen sex comedy nothing original
to it at all. There are multiple scenes ripped straight out of other movies. The acting is average to bad. The jokes are all stale and telegraphed. The weird creepy teacher is not funny at all just very
disturbing. The adults in particular make no sense, nobody acts like these people do. While there may be a few humorous moments it just isn't
enough to make this one worth it.

Much Better Than The Last One
Some DEI casting choices. Gender swapped Dr Paine who is a male villain in the comics and of course this one has to be good instead. I thought this was much better than the second one. There is still too much silly humor and the dance sequence was one of the most eye rolling cringe things I've seen in a while and served no purpose. The FX are all great and the writing was pretty good. They completely wasted Knull though and we will probably never get to see where this would of went. Still worth a watch in my opinion.

Not much woke, but acting and dialogue is broke
By the time I hit the 3rd season, the horrendous fake accents, mundane and forced script lines, and overly "girl boss" roles with poorly choreographed fighting making it scream "unrealistic" was just too much to waste time on when there's so much other better content for entertainment.

Trash-Ass Gay Propaganda
Oh my god, where do I begin?? After watching this absolute dumpster fire of a movie, I emailed Amazon (my favorite company btw) and asked for a refund for the 99 cents I paid for the rental. I don't know what it was, but something about the title character made me feel so confused. Every time that Sam appeared on screen, I had the uncontrollable urge to kiss him right on his thin little mustache. My lust was uncontrollable. At one point, my Mom (she's my roommate, I don't live with my mom, lol) walked in on me kissing the TV and threw a chancla at me. This is definitely liberal propaganda designed to induce feelings of homosexuality in unassuming viewers. Even after I finished the movie, I can't stop dreaming about Sam. In the night, I feel the fibers of his straw hat gently rubbing against my cheek, and it makes me fucking sick. If there was a number below zero, that's what I'd rate this soy-pilled piece of shit.

idk
as in "idk what to rate it"
on one hand, it's a well-directed show. that opening sequence was peak cinema.
on the other hand, oh boy...
3 things.
1) Fisk is Trump. everything about Fisk here is a shot at Trump. even the characters he meets and talks to or is involved with are counterparts of the likes of Melania, JD Vance, etc.
yes, it's subtle. very subtle. only people with sharp non-verbal communication skills and the ability to "read between the lines between the lines" will get what i'm saying. and that's fine. if you don't see it, that's not your fault.
but here's a fact you'll find interesting: Fisk's storyline here is in fact a direct adaptation of the 2017 comicbook storyline where Fisk becomes mayor... and that too was a blatant shot at Trump right after he became the Prez.
Go figure.;)
2) not a single likeable female character here apart from Karen. love Karen. she's the only woman in the show that feels "natural" (at least for the 30 mins that i managed to watch from episode 1). every other woman in the show is written like the fluttering tail of a still reverberating echo (pun not intended) of the DEI clusterfuck that was Marvel circa 2023-24.
[but yes... they picked some damn good writers this time, because they sure know how to hide these things under the mask of excellent filmmaking. to the point even i begin to question whether it's really that woke or not. and that's when i say to myself: "don't let the greatness fool you"]
3) now, i'm not a Christian. but Daredevil always has been. even the comicbook the show borrows its name from... was heavy on the Christian undertones. not as some religious propaganda (duh), but because it's who Daredevil is as a character. it's what sets him apart from the rest of the Marvel heroes. his struggles with "faith". facing his "demons". etc etc... it gave him that edge. that atmosphere. like a fever-dream of realistic superheroism.
BUT from what i'm hearing... this time around... it's been reported (rather joyously by left wing journalists) that there are NO Christian themes in the show whatsoever. lol.
again, i'm not Christian or any kind of religious snob in the traditional sense. but i recognize butchering of art when i see it. i recognize the desecration of a character's depth when i see it. i recognize woke when i see it.
over.

N00b Reacher Watcher opinions
Season 2.
After watching most of season 2, I can say that the show is, for me, still enjoyable. I like all the characters, the women on the team regardless if they're bad ass or not. I care more about their character development and if they're cool and sexy than if they're written in as "girl boss". Jesus Christ. I sure am a sexist pig for liking sexy women in this day and age. Can I even say that out loud? Reacher is still a bad ass as well and the plot is fun.
Season 1.
I've said in my other reviews that I hardly ever start watching these types of series since they *immediately* turn man-on-man gay. I said, "self, let's see how long it takes" and turned on Reacher. So far, he's cool. Kicks ass. Note: I did not read the books. Going to keep watching and see how it goes :)

The last of the theatrical released Ernest movies. By this time you should know what to expect from these movies and you wont be disappointed. If you like the previous ones this is more of the same. Acting and humor are on par with the previous films and this is a decent entry in the series. The humor while still stupid silly fun mostly works in a light hearted turn your brain off kind of way. Some of the jokes and setups (the runaway canon sequence in particular) go on for way to long and just become really silly and unfunny. I think it's a little better than the previous one but not by much

The acting is a real mixed bag here. Some is ok but there is some really poor acting by some the characters. The Ernest scenes are amusing but there is way to much focus on the kid actors and it makes the whole movie come off as very childish. The story is very silly but some of the gags and humor work when Ernest is involved. A step in the wrong direction from the previous 2 movies.

Better Than Expected
Mostly female cast with the few males either bad or morons. Marie Curry getting credit for discovering radiation when that's not true. There are multiple credits including hers and other men, NOT her alone. That being said this sequel to the original was much better than I expected. Most of the cast returns and the acting and writing is good and in the spirit of the original. The story makes sense as a sequel and the FX stay true to the original instead of going the full bad CG route. I would say
if you like the original and can get past the woke you will enjoy this as well.
