A subjective review from the viewpoint of a christian...
I like Sci-fi. I like time-travel stories that make you think. That's why I watched this one day when I was bored. I didn't realize it was a religious movie until I was immersed in the story. The basic premise is that removing Christ from moral teaching will cause a kind of social drift away from Biblical teaching. When a Bible professor gets a chance to visit 21st century America from over 100 years in the past, he encounters the outcome of such concepts. When people are left without a moral anchor, they drift away in the currents of rationalization. The slow changes in social morality over a century can be shocking if experienced all at once. This is definitely a B movie. The acting and directing are not bad. It's just obvious that it wasn't made with the level of production we've become accustomed to. I would recommend this to anyone, Christian or not, who is interested in American sociology.

Nonsense Lopez Produced Vanity Project
Over the top DEI again. The movie is heavily populated with Asian and black characters with almost no white ones. An AI robot states it's pronouns. There is so much potential for a fun if cliched turn your brain off action movie but it just fails miserably. The writing is bad, really bad. The acting is bad by almost everyone but Lopez in particular is just laughably awful and horribly miscast in the role. Does anyone actually believe 55 year old Lopez playing a 38 year old scientist and why does every scene look like she just stepped out of the hair salon with fresh makeup on? Maybe because she produced this garbage vanity project. Even if they had cast someone else the writing needed a major overhaul. Just one example early on the ship comes under fire in orbit and
none of the professional trained soldiers makes it yet this too stupid to live character makes it into a mech suit, manages to freefall from orbit blindly through a warzone without getting hit, never bothers to strap into the suit as instructed so just getting hammered around inside then barely gets the thrusters to activate right before impact with the surface and somehow survives just fine and isn't turned into ground beef on contact. Also the Mech suit suffers no damage from this and is functioning normally. This might actually be one the dumbest movies of the year.

Erin Brockovich
"Ordinary Angels" is a family-oriented tear-jerker with religious characters. I felt moved and inspired by the events in this wonderful film.
Although the film plays out like a fairy tale, it's based on a true story. A fact check article found that the film was accurate in some ways, but did take artistic liberties. The film didn't include the fact that the older daughter had needed and already received a liver transplant by the time period of the movie. The Erin Brockovich style heroine played by Hillary Swank was never an alcoholic and did not have strained relations with her son; however, she gave permission for the film's portrayal. She has a supportive black coworker in the film who was not mentioned in her book. That's a possible infraction of the most serious kind: rewriting history for diversity. However, I don't know, so I will let that slide. The family enthusiastically approved of the film.
The film has a 99% (!) audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes for verified viewers (who actually bought a ticket). In the written reviews, you can see some unverified 1 star reviews, and on IMDB 4% of reviewers give it 1 star. The review bombs are presumably from psychotic Leftists who don't like that some characters are religious. This isn't a preachy film, mind you, just a realistic one for Louisville, Kentucky in the mid-1990's.
This is a really well done heartstring-pulling film. It could change your outlook on life.

Too many DEI background and secondary characters in a country that's 86 percent white. This is another horror/comedy with no horror or comedy. The acting is over the top trying to be funny, the comedy makes no sense and is just dumb. It's just silly not funny.

Trans film by trans director/writer
I have not seen the film, but because the above review asked and because the front page is currently full of spam, I will reply.
The director and writer is "Jane" Schoenbrun, a Jewish man who identifies as trans (male to female) but non-binary (wut?), according to Wikipedia. He is married to a woman, but he is also polyamorous, and one of his lovers was the first to suggest that he might actually be trans. His pronouns are they/them, but since he is not royalty I will not refer to him as such, and since he does not pass I won't grant a begrudging she/her.
This is a deeply confused person. Even he admitted, "I don’t think my relationship to gender is something that I completely understand. It’s actually quite comforting to embrace incoherence." He does pretty much nothing but queer films, spreading his confusion to others.
