Lasted maybe 30-40 minutes before I turned it off.
The premise for this is good, I like the main character and it started off awesome. Plus it's also a disturbing look into totalitarianism.
But i'm sick of these women in movies who are completely disgusting, bitchy and disrespectful and the men being scared of them and cowering. How they take what they complain about men for, and turn it up 1000% and make her over the top aggressive and unpleasant and apparently we are meant to celebrate it.
If it wasn't for that kind of thing the movie could have been good.
No, I ended up turning it off and deleting it instead.

Not entirely woke
Limited to just a few lines. Silly sequel, not great, but not terrible though.

Woke Revisionism Over Historical Accuracy
The Netflix documentary "Alexander: The Making of a God" left me quite dissatisfied, primarily because it portrays Alexander the Great as bisexual. This depiction appears to prioritize a modern progressive agenda over historical accuracy. Within the first few minutes, the documentary introduces a romantic relationship between Alexander and Hephaestion, which seems speculative and not firmly grounded in historical evidence.
Critics argue that the documentary's focus on Alexander's sexuality overshadows his significant military and political achievements. It feels as though the series is more interested in fitting a contemporary narrative rather than providing a balanced historical account. This emphasis on inclusivity and politically correct themes detracts from the overall educational value, making the portrayal feel sanitized and politically driven.
Additionally, the combination of interviews with dramatizations comes off as superficial and disjointed, failing to deliver a coherent and engaging story. By attempting to cater to modern sensibilities, the documentary risks alienating viewers who seek a more traditional and accurate recounting of Alexander's life. Overall, "Alexander: The Making of a God" seems more like a piece of modern revisionism than a faithful historical exploration.

Woke Amateur Trash
As others have written so well the DEI and race baiting bs throughout makes this one very woke. Other reviews have covered it well so I won't waste more time on it. Ignoring the woke the movie itself is pure amateur hour horribly made nonsense. I've seen YouTube shorts more well made than this. The acting is terrible by everyone involved and every single character is awful. I hated every single one of them. The dialogue is stupid and makes no sense. No one acts and talks like these people do. Ever. The camera angles, cinematography and editing are trash. Even the music choices at the beginning are out of place and bad. It's just complete garbage and there is zero reason to watch this flaming dung heap.

Woke Teen Drama....Not Horror
A ridiculous amount of DEI on display here. Also gay and lesbian characters. This is absolutely not horror but lame teen drama with weak attempts at jump scares. The jump scares aren't even effective, they are so badly done I actually laughed out loud several times. The acting ranges from passable to downright terrible. Other than throwing some music from the 90's in nothing here actually feels like the 90's Speaking of the music, they just randomly picked anything from the 90's even
though it's clearly stated it takes place in 1994. I heard songs released all the way to 1999 in here. Then there is the statement made from one of the kids that she takes 10 grams of morphine. Really? Since .2 grams is a fatal overdose it's obvious the writers were too lazy to check that out. Then there's the fact that this is a home for terminal kids yet it
seems a lot them have sickness with a very high survival rate. Somehow all these 'terminal' kids seem to have no symptoms either. Other than them constantly telling everyone how sick they are you would never actually know it. There's a reason this was cancelled after 1 season.

It's About a Pacifist Bull; You'll Laugh, You'll Cry, You'll Moo
Woke? I could write an essay about whether a movie against the tradition of bullfighting is "woke", but since there are no other "modern audience" messages detected, I'll say No. It's fine. It's safe to let your kids watch, but watch it with them because you'll probably enjoy it, too.
What am I in for? It's The Story of Ferdinand, a bull who prefers flowers over bullfighting and the friends and enemies he meets along the way. The writing is clever, the voice actors excellent, the animation top-drawer, the music great, and the funny bits funny, which makes the emotional bits work even better. Kate McKinnon & Flula Borg are comedic standouts as Lupe & Hans, respectively (but also give a lot of credit to the animators). Enthusiastic recommend. 👍

Thumbs up
Not woke at all, just DIE casting, which could be factual considering it's Hollywood.

Corny 90's Throwback
Not really woke though it does seem to have a political bent. Journalists are shown as honorable, truthful and trustworthy. The 2 female characters at the beginning seemed to be going the girl boss feminist route but I don't thing that was the intention, just bad writing. Also seems to imply third world dictators aren't really that bad, just manipulated by 1st world countries and rich corporations who want to exploit their resources. The movie isn't really good but it's watchable
in a 90's throwback low budget cringe kind of way. The acting is not very good all around. It's marketed as a action comedy but there isn't much action and the comedy is much more eye rolling miss than hit. The action scenes while well done are very few. The horseback riding scene in particular is laugh out loud bad, with terrible green screen and acting. Despite these problems it is still oddly watchable.

Great resolution to the series
I had never heard of Serenity or Firefly before seeing this on a streaming service on a day when I had nothing to do. It was a very enjoyable sci-fi adventure. Afterward, I learned about the series that spawned this movie. I binged that and had a better understanding. The cancellation of Firefly was a huge disappointment to a small but intense (and rapidly growing) fanbase. Reasons abound as to why Fox pulled the plug before the first season was completed. The result is the same. Unanswered storyline questions outnumbered answers by far. This movie remedied that with a resounding last-hurrah of the ragtag crew. The acting and directing were superb. Every character is played to perfection with a combined chemistry that rivals any casting, ever.

Woke free
Comes across as factually accurate.

Below Average Horror Anthology Series
Overall not particularly woke though there are a couple episodes with woke elements. These include some obvious DEI and an entire episode of white man racist, minorities good and not racist. This is typical of an anthology series with mostly below average with maybe 2 really good episodes and a couple terrible ones. Not really worth a watch in my opinion.

Cliché and Unoriginal But It's Not Woke
Not really woke. You could argue maybe for some mild DEI and 1 character appears to be gay but he's frequently made fun of. No preaching about race, gender, sex or anything else. The acting is good but this movie been done many times before and not original in any way. Also not really a comedy so much as a drama with comedic elements. It's worth a
watch just don't expect anything spectacular but at least its not woke.
