Candyman 2021

Written by Jordan Peele. 'Nuff said.

Run

90% of the time is dedicated to the characters' mundane lives (which we couldn't care less about), and 10% of the time is spent on scenes with utterly terrible 'Martians' killing humans.
Always repeating the same immigrationist and anti-white tune: the French cop who is incestuous with his sister, the blind white bourgeois woman who regains her sight after sleeping with a migrant (yes, it's possible)...

The actors are uninspiring. The direction is rather poor. The plot, a nonsensical story. It's woke ( by Omar Sy). A complete flop, 0/20

This movie is garbage

A wealthy white man in a wheelchair assisted by a young person from immigration. François Cluzet is the archetype of this bourgeois leftist immigrationist who welcomes all the misery of the world and insults native French people who are attached to their country and its traditions and values. I couldn't care less about him.

Lots of DEI in this movie. And the writing is pretty bad as well

Didn't see any wokeness. They didn't have wokeness back in those days! But a lot of murder . Sad story

Surprisingly not woke for Apple

But it's produced by Marky Mark. Stereotypical family that's cliche. Lots of funny moments. No noticeable woke.

Artistically Beautiful

If I watched this more cynically, I could find some questionable elements. Overall though, this was fine.. given the current “bash you over the head” climate we now live in. By Disney standards, this is about as Woke-Free as one could hope.

Horrible Attempt At Animated Comedy

Based on the first 2 episodes. Lots of DEI hires in both voice acting and animated characters. Girl boss. Voice acting is pretty terrible all around. The animation is rather well done. The biggest problem is its just terribly unfunny. Didn't laugh once in 2 episodes. The lead captain is so over the top annoyingly stupid you just really hate him instead of finding him funny. In fact none of the jokes are funny. They are so telegraphed you can see them coming a mile away and every joke is strung out for way to long and any chance of humor is ruined.

Surprisingly good

This movie has a social agenda. The difference between this and the typical agenda-driven movies, is that it's not based on deception or, even exaggeration. The agenda is to portray the ludicrous idea of men competing in women's sports using trans ideology. Funny? absolutely! After ruminating on this movie for a couple of days, I've come to the conclusion that the key character is Gwen, the Journalist. Gwen admittedly uses a social issue to benefit herself. She is completely aware of the absurdity but, instead of standing against it or, even ignoring it, she chooses to take advantage. That is a great representation of those who promote the trans agenda. This movie made a lot of good points but, one that stands out is Gwen's response to divorce: " Of course your divorce is affecting your daughter. Seventy percent of all people in prison come from broken families. She's twice as likely to do drugs. Twice as likely to drop out of school. Four times as likely to have trouble fitting in. Three times as likely to end up in therapy. Twice as likely to commit suicide. Fifty percent more likely to have health problems." Before watching this, I had one nagging question: How can they end it? I knew that they were going to make a strong "triggering" point by exposing social atrocity. I just couldn't figure out how they were going to resolve it. Turns out, it was brilliantly done. Great job DW staff! I can't wait until the next original.

Watch it, you'll thank me later. Nostalgia 15 years later.

Here's the thing... Monk's stepdaughter's fiancé is DIE (pun intended), lots of token DIE casting relegated to minor/background characters.
