Awful
My goodness this was bad !
Terrible and annoying soundtrack, dire acting, barely audible & poor dialogue, bad editing and direction, no character development, terrible casting, laughably 'cheap' looking costumes and a complete snoozefest. Just really bad and an insult to Frank Herbert's original book, regardless if his woke son gave it the tick of approval or not. Money can do funny things to people.
Wokeness from director (paraphrased) : "There are not enough women in Dune so I'm going to change the sex of one of the more important male characters" - This coming from the director who CLAIMS to love the source material and promised to be faithful to it. Ha !
Liet, you are now a woman. You are no longer the powerful defacto KING of the Fremen and the Father of Chani, Paul's love but you are now a woman. Yeah, that makes the story oh so much better and doesn't mess things up even slightly ! (I'm being sarcastic folks).
Ughh, this film !
BTW Dune has arguably the most powerful group of women ever devised in fiction - the Bene Gesserit and the director does this ?!!?!

Also Paul was never a brooding emo boy but was an incredibly intelligent, articulate and confident & capable young man, in no small part due to his intensive training begun on Caladan, definitely not some wimp that mumbles through his teeth !
The only thing good I can say about this travesty is that it has the word Dune in it but then so does Dune Buggy (they are actually good) ;)
Even with it's flaws, I believe David Lynch's 1984 adaptation is superior in every way imaginable......except perhaps for the modern visual technology but that couldn't save this mess and they weren't particularly inspiring at all.
For a direct comparison of both movies, examine the Gom Jabbar and Pain Amplifier box scene.
That should make my point pretty obvious and that is just a single example.
Absolutely no suspense, Mohiam's use of voice is essentially non-existent and oh, the terrible acting ! - Yes I am referring to the 'new' movie.
This modern Dune is soulless and IMHO, bordering on absolute garbage.

Not a masterpiece but still fun
I have a similar relationship with both Shrek 1&2 and Puss 1&2. The first instalments are good, polished adventures but I wouldn't call them incredible.
But then the sequels show up and take them to the next level.
All in all, the Shrek franchise has not been tainted by wokeness yet. Let's hope they can keep it that way.

Sly shows he has integrity
Even successful actors that don’t need the money seem happy to sell out, signing up for parts in woke bullshit movies / TV. Not Sly. This is a great series. Well developed characters. Some great one liners. And everyone gets respect (or not) based on who they are as a person not whether they belong to some special demographic. Well done Sly!

Very good movie with a little bit of wokeness
There are a few scenes with transgender young person being kicked out of house. But despite that the movie is great, heartwarming, and very funny.

Great! No woke action/drama. There was one moment where black father and son admonish each other for working for white folks; unfit dialog for the series.

Not Woke, and Balanced with Themes
Some say this film is woke but I disagree. In fact, the film is balanced with themes of traditional, conservative gender roles, the men were allowed to lead, tribes had rules to 'not be useless' and to pull your own weight. There are some tropes like capitalism = bad, but they're balanced with themes that the right side of the isle would champion. Remember this movie was written a decade ago before Hollywood lost its brains.

Disappointedly woke, but could have been worse.
Yes, Bond has fallen in love and lost her, or so he thinks, and therefore explains why he has stopped the womanizing. He seems forlorn. Given that reason, I could have lived with that.
One of the rather in your face elements is that Q is now gay as shown by his romantic dinner plans with a he. He never was before so this was unnecessary. At least he was not flamboyant or silly. The character was otherwise played as one would want a highly skilled tech guy to be played.
Moneypenny is black and the replacement 007 is black as well. Ok, fine, but the latter is a woman, and frankly, just does not have the physique of a highly trained agent. Rather too much junk in the trunk. She looks awkward.
Not buying at all that there should ever be a woman 007. Men and women are not interchangeable.
I would never watch a 007 movie with a woman as the lead (and I am a woman).

A Show Worthy of a Binge
A crime show featuring a devout jew as the protagonist who has an uncanny ability to attain confessions from criminal suspects.
The stories are based on the Avraham Avraham novels written by D. A. Mishani, religion is actually portrayed in a positive light with Avraham showing compassion to victims of crime through prayer and jewish rituals and is also reflected in the positive influence his beliefs have on his coworkers.
The acting is superb and the diversity of the cast does not seemed contrived or influenced by modern culture. I have little patience for woke tropes and will stop watching a show 10 minutes into viewing if there is even a hint of a political agenda. This show kept my wife enthralled through an entire season binge watch over 2 nights and left us wanting more.
I would rate this a 9/10 and woke free and I hope that Peacock chooses to give it a second season.

Had to inject woke in the end
My daughter likes these movies for the singing and the dancing and I haven’t totally minded the woke narrative regarding race relations and activism in the other movies because of how silly the overall premise is. I mean, it’s about Zombies and cheerleaders. I can’t take it too seriously. But this one has aliens in it and the woke gets pretty thick when one of the aliens who is apparently played by a non-binary actress is attracted to a boy in the beginning then a girl in the end. She just shows she has a crush so it would have been innocent but they had to make it so she has a crush on two different genders to make things awkward. There is no need for this sort of confusing crap in a movie for kids. It has nothing to do with anything and was clearly shoehorned in by Disney groomers. I started by turning it off before the end but you’re better off just not bothering. The whole movie sucks. The first one isn’t as bad. 2nd one not too bad either. Shame on Disney for sneaking this in. Disgraceful.

Excellent kids show
It has all the things a kids show should have in my opinion. Fantasy, action, comedy and moral life lessons woven in as well. It’s a sweet show and enjoyable for parents with some clever humor here and there. No woke garbage that I’ve ever noticed.
