Corny, campy, and a must-see for fans of the franchise.

It's everything you would expect if you've been through the Karate Kid movies. It's predictable, but it has its clever, funny moments. Some of them weren't in the trailer. Most were. As in the rest of the franchise, you have to let a few things go. In the original, it was mostly a kids' league that allowed bare-knuckles and kicks to the face. Things haven't changed much. It's a fun ride. Enjoy it. It got a little thick when Li started training a middle-aged man for returning to prize-fighting. Oh, and, no woke that I could see.

Worth the watch.

Duvall nailed it in this one. He's a great actor. The story is somewhat predictable. It's mostly about recovery, forgiveness and getting another chance at life. The music was outstanding. I watched the credits. Robert Duvall wrote and performed much of it. The performances were real by all the actors. The movie is a slow-burn. There's no major buildup to a dramatic ending. The supporting acting was great. Tess Harper was outstanding.

Not that great, but watchable

I was disappointed in this movie until Nathan Fillian bounced it back somewhat. He plays a great Green Lantern. The dog was a high point as well. I really didn't detect that much wokeness. There was some. I don't think it rates a 5. To me, a 5 wokeness rating means "avoid." I'm not a fan of superhero stories so I think I missed some of the nuances. I would probably like this movie more if I understood some of the backstory. The acting was great. David Corenswet plays a good superman. I don't think it was worth the $30 for the streaming purchase. With all the disagreement in the wokeness level, this is one that you'll just have to judge for yourself.

This show is obviously inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, D&D boxed sets mixed with some AD&D, down to having monsters that can't be named, cause Beholders are copyrighted.

The main character's concept is what you get when your Ranger picks goblinoids as his favoured enemy. Every. Time. He's obsessed, he's ruthlessly tactical, he's the Punisher (Ennis's) in a fantasy setting.

I'm probably nostalgic about the good ole days of discovering the game and playing low-level chars, which may affect my judgment.
The story is simple, before domain-level play. Think red box.
On the other hand, it lacks complexity and an overall direction. Which is fitting: the chars go through the modules as you manage to get your hands on them.

Of note, this show attracted controversy for "featuring rape of females".
In short, yes. Although brief and not exactly explicit. Not for the younger crowd, but D&D isn't anyway.
The first episode opens with a level 1 party wipe. So, yeah, bloody and rapey. Because D&D is essentialist: goblins are evil, they commit evil deeds. Also, they start eating their victims _before_ they die.
But the pearl-clutching, eternally outraged crowd focused on 1 second of implied rape. What is wrong with them?
Well, they do choose the bear, and bears also eat their preys alive, so I don't know.

The animation is decent-to-good in the first series, and drops to sub-par in the second.
Still a fun watch, but not for kids. Or players of 5e.

too much shiiiid

That '90s Show tries too hard to be "modern" by stuffing in diversity, LGBTQ+ plots, and constant reminders about consent and equality. Instead of feeling natural, these elements come off as forced boxes being ticked. The result is a sitcom that feels more like a lecture than a fun continuation of the original. I could hardly make it to the end.

Superman: Rise of the Girlbosses

1. Lex Luthor as a Trump/racism analogy – portrayed as a political stand-in rather than a classic villain.
2. Lesbian “girl boss” characters – framed as unnecessary identity-driven inclusions.
3. Emphasis on Gen Z & TikTok culture – forcing modern social media trends into the story.
4. Superman as an immigrant allegory – James Gunn explicitly tying the film to immigration politics.
5. Casting & representation focus – many Indian characters with central roles (e.g., convenience store worker, taco vendor), highlighted as part of diversity emphasis.

Only real woke I saw was the 'good' Spanish female and the 'bad' white male sheriff. I couldn't take more than 30 min so there may be more.
I usually enjoy these types of road thrillers but this was painful. The acting wasn't very good and the writing was pretty bad. The main character is again way to unlikable. She's just a miserable snarky person with an attitude that's instantly annoying. She is also way to stupid to live constantly doing and saying the worst things you could think of. I mean your in the middle of nowhere being extorted by a small town sheriff and you decide to have a beer and take a couple
hits off a joint and jump back in your car to drive? Really? Nice cinematography but really that's about it.

Best movie ever.

Same as NGE, women in power (big w.) shinji is a weak man, kaworu is the only way Shinji calms down. His bisexuality is shown aswell, during the first minutes he has a scene with Asuka, and then towards the end with kaworu showing up he smiles and closes his eyes, in an almost dreamlike state.

I love it

Woke show. Kaworu is obviously shinjis gay lover, and Shinji also has romantic and sexual interest in females, (per Rei and Asuka in NGE and EoE.) show has women in power, examples being Misato, Rei, Asuka, Maya, Ritsuko, Yui, Magi. The show and its extensions like the movies have woke feelings (anything with Kaworu) and in the rebuilds it has 3 main characters who are women. Show is obviously woke. Shinji is a weak white man, while the women overpower him in nearly every way. His friends do nothing, including the men.

Not so bad. Go girl boss!

It was at the very end I kind of put the whole girl boss thing together. Like, Julia Louis-Dreyfus was the evil doer and, of course, Florence Pugh was the lead kick ass girl. What I mean to say is I made it through the film without being offended by girl boss. See? Not everything offends. And I think Florence Pugh is quite sexy, so that helps.

As other reviewers say, it's a fine movie but nothing I'd sit through again and, for me, not even add this movie to my collection.

Some DEI overrepresentation and a mentality ill 'non binary' actor playing a sexually confused character. This could of been a decent horror comedy, but it's not. Most of the acting is average at best with some really bad (looking at you Zegler). The story is ridiculous but it's supposed to be. The humor just doesn't work and it's not funny. But it also fails as a horror movie. A major problem though is the attempt at the 90's. Nothing feels right, and everything is off. Just putting some references and music in doesn't work. The dialogue is wrong, the clothes are wrong, the hair is wrong, and the speech and language is off. None of it works and it becomes very boring very quickly.

Again with the over the top DEI overrepresentation. Black female sheriff, black female in the corners office, native American 5ft 90lb
female working at the oil drill site. White men are bad and dumb, females are smart and better than the males. Metoo bs with a white male
and a black female. The acting and dialogue are very bad. Like so bad I can't believe this actually was on SYFY. The only good thing was the
impressive practical FX on the zombies. They actually looked very good. Unfortunately they decided to use cheap CG blood and gore FX that
look really out of place and bad.
