A great story that engages the viewer's emotions
I like this film as it shows how a family unit can bond despite the family suffering a tragedy. There's a plot twist at the end that makes you view the whole story in a different way which is great writing.
There are elements of wokeness with the Manticore discovering her true warrior and the mum and the Manticore having their own girl boss adventure which feels a bit unnecessary. There's also an obvious insert of representation with the lesbian female cop which knowing her sexuality does nothing to advance the plot, so why do it? However, the good writing and focus on the main storyline overshadow these politically correct moments.

A classic set in the 70's. Totally enjoyable
With a classic structure set in the 70's, this dramatic comedy only points out some religious issues without giving a political or moral discourse.

Great action film with a unique plot
Every minute of this film is used to keep the viewer engaged and to advance the plot. I think this is one of the most quotable films I have watched as some of the lines are hilarious!
There's some mild wokeness that crops up with the police's official vocabulary guidelines in trying to 'police' people's language to be more inclusive, but the film doesn't major on this and it is minor.
Overall, definitely worth a watch.

Super Woke, and not very good
Show is very very woke, and they forced it into the story line to the point it affected the writing, pacing, etc. Just a horrible excuse for a Star Trek series.

One of the greats!
This is a quirky, thinking man's dramedy that made (and still makes) me want to live in a town just like Cicely, Alaska. There are a couple of gay couples, which I have absolutely no problem with, since nothing is shoved in my face. Probably my favorite TV show of all time, and one that I discovered years after it's initial run.

Girl power!
I love women, so girl power doesn't bother me as much as some of the other stuff that is pushed on me these days. That being said, I am two episodes from finished season 3, and I am very impressed with the show. Beautifully animated, but enough wokeness to make me cringe
For my first review on here, I chose Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" based on a recommendation by a friend. I love the old Disney classics, and older animation in general, so I took a chance. Within the first five minutes, I was already disappointed. The men are all made out to look stupid and/or helpless, whites are made out to be spoiled, rich and greedy while blacks are poor, hard-working and family oriented.
The hand-drawn, traditional animation looked great, but the messages left a bad taste in my mouth. This does not hold a candle to the classics, and I did feel that Disney's off-the-wall values were being pushed on me (which is how I judge how woke things are.)

Dialogues like this are present throughout the series playing the 'oppressor and oppressed' games along with the entire plot which is trash either way imo.

Extremist Feminism.
In the 20 or so minutes I could take of this steaming pile you have strong smart women kept down by the patriarchy. Her bosses are sexist idiot men. Her co workers are sexist idiot men. Her husband is a completely useless moron who cheats with a younger woman. The Italian mob boss is a woman. A self defense class for women that instructs them that if a stranger tells them they look prettier if they smile to punch in the crotch and gouge their eyes out. No entertainment value and should be seen by no one and everyone involved in the making of this should be punched in the crotch and their eyes gouged out.

it's a gradual thing
Up until about season 13 it's quite bearable, even inoffensive. But starting with season 14 the viewer is subjected to the themes and topics he's trying to get away from in everyday contemporary life. It's supposed to be taking place between 1890 & 1910. I would like to see mystery solving and societal representations of that period.

Great movie. Surprisingly very little woke!!
Ok, so I know Blaze14 already reviewed this one but here's my take on this. As a follow-up to the masterpiece that was Into the Spider-Verse, the bar is incredibly high for this one. While it was a fantastic film, there were two moments of blatant wokeness.
-In Gwen's room there is a poster that says "protect trans kids". It was never commented on or mentioned, it was just there. I think most of the people in the theater didn't even notice it.
-Miles has a BLM button on his backpack. Like the previous, it was never mentioned or brought up, it was just there.

Overall-10/5.
Great watch. Would highly recommend
