Corny as Hell But Not Really Woke
Woke is some minor DEI casting and that's really it. The daughter in the first part of the movie is just spewing woke garbage every time she speaks but than it's revealed she is brainwashed by a woke moron boy who is a pos. After that she goes back to a normal person so it seems to be making fun of woke maybe. The movie is average at best though. The
comedy part is actually pretty funny and enjoyable but the movie absolutely fails at the action part. It's obvious the director can't do action. Those scenes are bland, boring and just badly done. There is also the now typical bad writing with completely implausible, stupid and impossible scenarios. It's really, really corny, cheesy and eye roll inducing. Despite that if you enjoy action comedies it is worth a watch given that it's not really woke.

Excellent Woke Free Foreign Horror
No woke at all. This is a dark, bleak disturbing movie. Excellent acting, FX and atmosphere. One of the best horror movies in recent memory. I've seen some reviews calling this confusing and say it makes no sense. The beginning is a bit confusing as it drops you into the middle of an apocalypse of sorts. However if you pay attention literally everything
is explained along the way. If you like foreign films and don't mind subtitles this is a great film for horror fans.

Much More Accurate Adaptation But Missing The Horror
As far as woke goes there is the unnecessary change to make the Matt Burke character a black gay man. Why? It's not in the book and is pointless. His race is never an issue in the movie and the actor was well known at the time so that's not as big an issue as making him gay. However the Burke character is supposed to have been the 8th grade teacher for the Mears character. Both actors are the same age so it makes no sense and also makes the casting choice questionable. This version is much more accurate to the book than the 1979 version. The problem with this one is some bad CG and the weird decision
to remove all the 'horror' scenes. This version is almost bloodless and virtually every effective scene of horror from the book gets cut completely or the scenes ends right when it should start. There's almost no vampire scenes either, everything happens offscreen. It's all buildup with almost no payoff. Such a shame as this could of been a great adaptation.

Incredibly Racist
Metoo. Insane amounts of racism. Gay characters. This is terrible. Every other joke revolves around white hatred or black victimhood. No surprise this was canceled after only 6 episodes.

A Bit Of A Disappointment But Not Bad
No woke at all. Acting is pretty good but it leaves a lot out and makes a lot of changes from the novel. There is very little horror and even then its watered down as is expected from a 1979 tv movie. Still worth a watch but if you've read the book it is a bit disappointing.

Generic, Boring, Bland With Bad Casting
Checks most of the DEI boxes though there are white males cast the females are of course the focus. The female POC Interpol agent with the useless male underlings is pretty obvious as well. The movie itself is terrible. Bad boring generic story and writing. The acting is mediocre at best. The action scenes are as bland as possible. Kevin Hart is badly miscast in the role and just can't pull it off at all. There as so much better heist movies out there.

Second season ruined it.
First season was pretty funny with nothing to overtly woke but the second season goes straight to black victimhood and white people rascist. Also all the humor goes right out the window with it. Pass on this one.

Woke DEI Gen Z Nonsense
Checks every DEI box. Gay and lesbian characters. Mostly non white characters. All of the straight white males are betas or bad. The usual Hollywood version of 'strong feminist characters'. Acting is some good, some bad. The writing is terrible and mostly makes no sense. It's the typical gen z garbage. Go watch the originals instead. Even the 3rd one
is better than this.

Entitled Feminist Ruins It
All the usual feminist garbage. A stupid amount of DEI hires and mixed race couples. All the men are stupid sexist and racist. The acting is ok and there are some actual funny parts but the lead character is just so annoying, entitled, and unlikable. She's supposed to be 34 but acts like an idiot early 20's moron and uses every stupid social media and leftist buzzword you can thing of. She's just so irritating and punchable It ruins the entire movie.

Slow, Dull and Boring.
Two mixed race couples and all men are useless or bad. Climate alarmism while not woke is political propaganda. The acting
decent but the writing and directing are terrible. This is another arthouse drama pretending to be a genre film. Painfully dull and boring. Long lingering shots of nothing. Weird cuts and edits. Everything is shot way to close up and the camera never pulls back or gives any wide shots so you can't see anything happening, it's all implied and just off screen. Unless you enjoy very, very slow moving movies with minimal story skip this one.
