It's the standard by which I judge all movies
There's a reason that this movie sits so high on every "greatest movie" list. Actually, a lot of reasons. It's a story about a good-hearted man being placed in a situation that compels him to abandon his resolve and follow the path in life he was trying to avoid. Every time I re-watch this movie, I keep trying to find that one place in Michael's journey where I would've done something differently to avoid the path to corruption. I haven't found it yet. The story behind the making of this movie makes it even more watchable. The Offer is a miniseries about the making of The Godfather. I highly recommend that.

For the kids.
Not woke. It is, however, kind of boring. It's one of those movies that have all the good parts in the trailers. There's no apparent agenda. The language and subject matter are clean. It's for kids. I recommend it accordingly.

Cute!
There are plenty of woke elements, but none of them (for me) take away from the effective story and likeable characters. The movie is sweet, charming, and fun to watch.

I recommend this.
This movie would appeal to anyone who likes John Wick, Nobody, The Accountant, The Foreigner, etc. That means I love it. It's on my re-watch list. There's some very clever production with Mel Gibson being an entirely remote character. Don't look for too much realism. I did mention John Wick. Just enjoy the very interesting story with top notch acting.

Contains satire of woke
I think this movie would've been offensive to me if I were woke. It treated wokeness with a feel of ridicule. Other than that, it's Ryan Reynolds. Enjoy it. It's not as good as the first one but, that's typical.

Disappointing
I have recently become a huge Glen Powell fan and I was so excited to watch a fun romcom. But the script is HORRIBLE. Absolutely horrible. I physically cringed multiple times and had to pause the movie to let the ick fade before starting it again. There's no way in the world I'll ever watch this movie again.
Lots of woke themes, but plenty of other people have touched on that already. At least nothing felt rude or hateful besides one T-shirt worn by one of the women which read "ego of a straight white male". Gross.
But for the most part everybody was treated the same, so I wasn't too annoyed.
If only the script had been passable... But it's one of the worst romcom scripts I've ever watched.

If you like writers who mock God, demonize the wealthy, treat sex like it's nothing
patricktowson16 says:
Rabbit/Hole started off great, the pilot clued me into a classic political thriller a la Tom Clancy. It started strong, however, as the series progressed, it became increasingly evident that the show was poorly executed and ultimately uninteresting. I like Kiefer Sutherland and Charles Dance, but frankly neither are at their best here.
The characters were poorly developed, and the acting was lackluster, making it hard for me to emotionally invest in the story. Furthermore, the show was plagued with hamfisted contemporary politicking that only served to remind me that the writer's room was full of people with nothing but distaste for the very people that would like this kind of show. The writers seemed more interested in surreptitiously promoting a political agenda and using as many contemporary buzzwords as possible than delivering a captivating and exciting story.
Rabbit Hole had an excellent premise, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver. The show was poorly executed, uninteresting, and preachy. Viewers who were hoping for an exciting espionage thriller will undoubtedly be disappointed with the series. While the show had its moments, it ultimately fell short of the mark, and I cannot recommend it to fans of the genre. At the time of this review I have seen the first 5 episodes, and I will not be finishing the series. If you want the kind of show that Rabbit/Hole appears at first glance to be, I recommend The Terminal List or The Night Agent.

Season 2 is Watchable Only For Annie Wilkes
I watched season 1 when it originally came out several year ago and remember really enjoying it and don't recall it being very woke
if at all. Season 2 however is extremely DEI heavy. The amount of diversity for a small town in Maine is absurd. Latest data has
Maine as 98 percent white. There is also a lesbian teen love interest. All white people are bad and racist while all Somali people
are good and noble. White males in particular are always bad and several female characters make blanket negative statements about
men being violent and bad. One Somali character makes a comment about a white character going full KKK when the situation referred to
has absolutely nothing to do with race. The church is of course evil. The season overall has two storylines one an origin story for
Annie Wilkes and the other a supernatural story involving the Merrill family. The Annie story is the highlight with the acting by
Caplan in general being incredible and the writing is excellent. This is the only real reason to watch the second season. The Merrill
family story is junk, the acting by most is average to poor and the writing is all over the place and makes no sense. Two episodes
in particular at the end of the season come out of left field and go full Walking Dead zombie story for no reason. The writing here
gets really poor and the Annie character feels out of place and forced into the other story for no reason. All the characters go full
Rambo gun and explosive experts with perfect marksmanship instantly. The henchmen who are told many times by the villain to 'kill anyone
who isn't us' on multiple occasions have opportunities to eliminate main character but just don't for no reason. The lesbian character
in particular serves no purpose to the season at all and could have been completely written out and changed nothing. This is another
character that should have been killed on several occasions but just isn't for no reason other than.....Lesbian. You can instantly
figure out who survives based on woke writing alone so there are no surprises at all. I would still say the season is watchable for
the great Annie Wilkes story and scenes but should have been compressed to half a season and leave out the Merrill garbage.

Not Bad.
No Woke. An improvement over Astro Monster. The acting and story are better. The limited amount of monster action is a little disappointing but
the blending of FX and miniatures is well done. There are some strange musical choices but overall a decent entry in the Godzilla movies.

More Lame PG Zoomer 'Horror'
I didn't notice any woke. The acting is ok at best. Once again this is not really a horror movie. Maybe a psychological drama? There are really only 2 actors in the majority of the film. Story is bare bones and moves at a glacial pace. This could of easily been a short film. The main character has Agoraphobia but why does she live in basically complete darkness in her apartment. She's a pro video game player whos enters a tournament to win money. Pro tournaments are always played in person at a set location, you can not play online from home, ever. The makers couldn't even be bothered to get this right. Not worth a watch even for gamers.
