Bloody, Violent, Hilarious Fun
This does have some of the girl boss, nasty, aggressive femenisist b.s. in it. However they are villains and end up dealt with appropriatly so
not sure it's really a woke thing. This is not a movie for everyone. It is a hyper violent, gory, unrealistic revenge action movie with dark
comedic elements. It's ridiculous over the top action and personally I found it very entertaining, but as I said probably a limited appeal.

Season 1 Great, Season 2 Garbage
Season 1-0 woke and a 4 overall
I saw season 1 several years ago so I don't remember everything but I don't recall any woke. Just great acting, atmosphere and cinematography. Creepy well done story.
Season 2-4 woke and a 2 overall
Every single white American is a horrible, evil, racist people here. Every single one. All Japanese are good, loyal, noble people. The Italians, and Germans in the US are ignored here completely. Also ignored is the fact that actual Japanese spy were found over here in the US. The internment camps were wrong, no question but the biased one sided revisionist history is just as much B.S. Also there is no shock, or sadness or any reaction at all by the Japanese here when Pearl Harbor happens. They just act like the US response is just evil for no reason and the attack on Pearl Harbor wasn't a horrible thing by their native country. There is also a lot of inaccuracies with dates, timelines and history in general. The acting is not so good by most of the characters. There are time jumps all the time throughout the season with no indication a jump has happened until a character says or does something and you suddenly realize it. The American head of the camp is a cartoonish caricature of a villain whos bad for no real reason other than 'evil racist'. There is no continuity to anything, things just happen that make no sense, characters seem to change personalities from 1 episode to the next. Completely implausible things happen that just make absolutely no sense. The horror aspect isn't bad and there are some creepy moments and good atmosphere but it's no enough. Watch season 1 pretend season 2 never happened and hope season 3 is better.

Started Somewhat Ok, Then Went Full Woke Trash
Huge amount of DEI. Modern Feminism. Weak males. Mixed race couples. Multiple gender and race swapped characters from source material. All changed from white males of course. By season 4 pretty much everyone is gay and hooking up with everyone else.
The acting isn't terrible for what it is. The first season is the best with the second watchable and the third not very good. After 3 it was cancelled and picked up by Netflix for season 4-6. While woke is always present
season 4 on is where it went through the roof. Police are bad. One episode in season 4 is devoted to terrorist BLM police racist
propaganda. While always having humor the later seasons really just turn into a back and forth between sappy soap opera relationship
nonsense with everyone whining and crying, and terrible unfunny comedy. There's also very little actual over arching story through out,
the series with some of similar storylines just keep repeating. What started out as an interesting supernatural show turns into a pathetic
soap with all the males whining and crying about women that have no interest in them. It's like they went for the sad bored housewives demo.
Even more proof is Lucifer is pretty much half naked at some point in almost every episode in season 4.

Woke in Space
A testament to how bad the mental illness of wokeness has become in Sweden by 2018. The movie is very dystopian but the wokeness is unintentionally part of that.

Great Movie That Still Holds Up Today
Nothing woke. Great epic movie. Well acted and excellent cinematography. Top notch FX and action scenes. Great story. The only
real complaint is the use of the dropped frame slow motion. I hate that effect, it looks terrible and adds nothing to the action. Luckily it's not used too much so while annoying it's able to be ignored. Must watch part of cinematic history.

Growing up is tough, but a bit easier with Leo
Wokeness: none
This one really surprised me. Adam Sandler as Leo and Bill Burr as Squirtle are a great comedy duo and trust me, it never forgets it's a comedy. But the focus is on all the 5th graders and the various hurdles they encounter. There is also singing, but it never overstays it's welcome. Highly recommended for pre-teens and up.

BLM all over the second season
This is a real shame, because the show is a really fun ride, but just like everything that comes from the show business today, it's full of political BS. Into the third season, one of the daughters of the protagonist ask her mom what to do if she found "Trump with immigrants", something so off coming from an 11 years old girl. By the third season, there's a reference to "deprograming", from "a cult", specifically "Q-Anon". If you can get around the political BS, the show delivers.

Better Than Expected.
Only woke is DEI checkboxes in the casting. The original team was 3 men and 1 woman so that is correct. I'm not sure why they felt the need to leave his wife off the team other than to get another checkmark DEI POC in the casting. Well acted and cinematography. The core story is pretty accurate but there is the usual inclusion of a lot of scenes that never happened, and they are all pretty obvious. Also some unnecessary changes to the story that didn't need to be done. Still a good story overall and a well made movie worth watching in my opinion.

Fun Ryan Reynolds vehicle
Let's be honest, Reynolds carries the whole movie here. Main role, credited among producers, and a firm named "Maximum Effort" involved in production.
The other actors are quite adequate, they just don't outshine the star.
Waititi is quite good as a villain: he's callous, arrogant and loud-mouthed. Oh wait, he's not acting.
The inclusion of real-world internet celebrities was maybe not the best move, as they don't translate so well to the big screen. Then again, what do I know, especially about them?
It's fun, it's colourful, it's well-paced, and it's very Reynolds-y. Sort of goody-two-shoes Deadpool.
I did tick the woke elements box, as the movie does tick some woke talking points, mostly as throw-away lines, probably intended to throw the mentally-challenged a few bones while not irking normal people.
The movie itself clearly does not toe the party line; all the good guys are white, while the main antagonist and his de facto crony are both they/thems of colour.
Not that I care, but it will probably ruffle feathers among the 81 millions. Those in actual current existence, that is.

Very loosely based on the comics
This movie recycles the name and some of the visual trappings of the original, but certainly not the tone.
It does have a charm and a consistency of its own, though, and make for decent entertainment, despite a weaker third act.
Comedy is good, acting is decent, although Rupert Everett was a superior (in all but name) Dylan in Dellamorte dellamore.

Decent actors in unambitious sci-fi
does not make a good movie.
Action scenes are so-so, script is highly predictable, photography lacks tonal direction or unity. Except for most people being beautiful. Old-times Hollywood.
1995 MTV culture is the root of woke. White male characters are all shades of weak, although in charge and dictatorial. The heroic resistance looks like a Benetton ad.
Nothing explicitely said, though. Such were the times.
