Boring But Not Woke
Not really woke although the guy is a total beta. Admittedly I gave up at the 45 min mark so there could be something later. Acting is ok but the story is just boring and not funny. It's basically just 2 strangers telling each other stories about their failed lives and experiences. It's not terrible just completely middle of the road humorless boredom.

Interesting but annoying concept
The concept is intriguing, but the "noise" is distracting. I put on subtitles and that made it much more bearable, because I didn't have to struggle to make out the words in the "noise".
I love alien planets in movies. Like many alien planets in movies, this one looks suspiciously like Canada. However, it makes sense given that the human population are colonists who landed decades ago, and Earth life (Canadian life?) has mostly taken over the planet since then.
Many of the men are portrayed as insane and evil, while women are portrayed much more favorably. Still, I can't quite give it a woke point, maybe 0.5 woke points.

Not woke with one partial theme
Not woke but a protagonist is a fail social media influencer trying to get back into limelight

Infantile Toilet Humor With DEI
Extreme DEI casting in both voice and human characters. There are almost no white human characters to be found. Also several rascist anti white comments from the Jamie Foxx character which is not surprising as he's a openly rascist p.o.s. Also a scene with 2 male and 1 female characters where the male asks the other 2 if they want to all 'kiss for a while'. Movie ends with all the dogs holding down and mutilating a white male's genitals. This might be the stupidest movie of the year. Not funny at all. Nothing but poop and dick jokes that only a challenged pre teen might find humorous. This should be watched by no one....ever.

Aside from the obvious go-to choice
Of course this film centers around black issues and has a black cast. For that, it's actually a great story and Jeffrey Wright is a cool lead.
Why the gay brother? Why gay? He could have been the "black sheep" of the family for having a lazy eye, or being the youngest, or oldest sibling, or maybe he talked with a lisp. And over-the-top, speedo wearing gays for no other reason than to move the agenda forward. Shame, an interesting story with great acting hijacked by Hollywood box-checkers.

Horrible Adaptation
Not really woke but a bully who calls people queer in the movie is possibly gay and likes to dress up in his mothers clothes. This is not in the book and was added only for the movie. The acting is not bad and they did a good job making it feel like the 60's. This has very little to do with the book though. The novel is a collection of 5 stories that all take place over different time periods linked by the same people. This is only the first story called Low Men in Yellow Coats. The original is a very dark, sad loss of innocence story with horror and supernatural elements. This ties in directly with The Dark Tower series of novels. For the movie all of this has been removed. No horror, no supernatural, no Dark Tower. Just an old man with ESP and a boy talking. Many things in the film make no sense either because large chunks of the book are left out resulting in some events just sort of happening with no context. The mother also is a terrible, vile, abusive man hating person in the book, not here, she's a completely different character. Also the ending is completely different, there is no happy ending in the book. Skip it and read the book instead.

Freaky
A slightly twisted very engrossing film. Don't read more reviews, because part of the fun is trying to figure out what the hell is going on in the first part of the film. No woke.

No Woke, Great Movie
No woke in this. Great acting and story. Dialogue is minimal with most of it being narration in his head by the main character. A lot of people didn't like it apparently but it works great in the context of the film. It is not an action filled movie but what is there is well done and brutal. It is also not a fast paced movie but it never gets boring. Woke free entertainment as it should be. Definitely worth a watch.

A festival of intersectionality — Well made but miserable
Explores the challenges faced by women and LGBTQ people in a small conservative community. Could have been good (if you’re interested in that sort of thing). Instead it comes of as deeply anti-male and anti-white. All the usual tropes. Avoid.

So far so good
3 episodes in and not woke at all. But at some point the Tuskegee Airmen come into play. So let’s see what happens
Update: The Tuskegee airman have arrived in the show. They have nothing to do with the 100th except they were at the pow camp with them.
Seems like they were put in the show just to pander with the woke mob

Europeans cannot survive
I watched this without understanding the language well first and later I rewatched the English-dubbed version. What's immediately obvious in almost every episode is how lame European participants are compared to the Americans in the original Naked and Afraid. With very few exceptions, they have no idea how to survive. Plus, they have severe emotional and fortitude problems.
The dumbest thing done by one French survivalist was to eat a yellow-bellied (aka "fire-bellied") toad, Bombina variegata. They are poisonous, as advertised by their brightly colored bellies. And she ate it raw, OMG. WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION?!
There is some female eye candy, and the hottest is a 50 year old woman with 6 kids. She is seriously hot. Respekt.
Skip this show except perhaps for unintended humor value. It is the train wreck of survivalism.

Hollywood overdrive
Hooboy, this film is ridiculous, breaking the laws of physics at every opportunity. On the other hand, it is more enjoyable than most other ridiculous sci-fi blockbusters.
It's not a big deal, but there is one interracial couple: a white woman and a Mexican man, who is extremely noble. Also, not a big deal given the absurdity of the situation, but Halle Berry becomes the acting manager of NASA. (She is married to the black high ranking military general; she is not a lesbian.) I would need more possible DEI infractions to move my woke meter from 0.
Watch if you want, but it's pure popcorn.
