How did this get woke free?
The main character is a descendant of Christ, who works in an ABORTION CLINIC, and God is played by Alanis Morissette.

Its a bit woke.
The character Shuri is a total Mary Sue, and barely out of her teens is as smart as Bruce Banner. Give me a break. Other wise, it isn't that bad, but you know what they were trying to do there.

The intention behind the original novel was woke, but it doesn't judge you for rooting for the non woke`
Hopefully that subject makes sense.
I don't think its fair to say this film is non woke. It's author (of the original graphic novel) structured the world in response to Thatcher-ism (he's British) and his interpretation of Nixon is that he is serving his 4th term.
That said, the film itself does a good job of moral ambiguity, and making Rorschach into a fan favourite, however this is completely at odds with the original authors intentions. Granted that is the graphic novel, and I don't think Zack Synder who made this film made it with that interpretation in mind, hence why I say its only a bit woke.
It is very close to the source material (goes to show you that in the 80s even the left could write their political opposition well), but Alan Moore (the book's creator, who wasn't involved in the film) doesn't see Rorschach (who is a Objectivist) as the hero. When you look at it through that lens you do greatly appreciate how Zack Synder did not lean on that interpretation and choose to make it very close to the source material.
I still have to give it some woke, because I know the film is trying to be ambiguous on that ending (and don't get me wrong, it SHOULD do that), its a bit woke for even suggesting the alternative was a viable option.
But its a great film, I just can't let it get by with a non woke score because Alan Moore is a weird woke Anarcho Commie. Thankfully he had the good sense to tell a good story that didn't railroad his politics as the answer.

Probably one of the most conservative films I've seen in years.
As the title suggests I felt this was one of the more conservative films I've seen in years. By that, I don't mean its openly conservative, its not overtly trying to make a political point but its telling a true story (with I'm sure embellishments) and the truth typically leans conservative, especially when you are dealing with a story largely set in the Soviet Union.
The themes I say are largely conservative are:
- Communism vs Free enterprise.
- The importance of a man trying to provide for his family.
- Collectivism vs the Individuals right to their creation.
Also its worth noting I saw this months ago (I just found this site) so if there was an element I missed, or a piece of history that was made misleading and it should be labelled has some woke to it, forgive me, but from my recollection it was very entertaining and very affirming of conservative values.

Stupidly Insane and Very Woke
I get that this is basically a cartoon come to life, but over and over again, you are hit over the head with physically impossible scenes. On top of that we have a bunch of middle age woman destroying hundreds of fully armored male assassin/bodyguards. It's like every other scene. Oh and don't forget girl boss Brie Larson shows up to Captain Marvel everyone, no need for powers. John Cena comes in as the long white good guy and turns out to be a loser dork who has to blow himself up to redeem himself. It's ridiculous. Jason Momoa plays an over the top gay/tranny evil weirdo Joker character, who is painting his nails and other weird crap. At least he is the villain. The other white hero type character turns out to be another evil asshole.
We are only a few steps away from the Movie "Ass" featured in Idiocracy.

Not woke
Just a good dystopian film about hope and the will to survive. No woke propaganda to be found.

Decent movie
SPOILERS
-----------
Yes, the lead character is gay, but he's also an obese shut-in whose life was ruined because he had a relationship with his male student. His redemption comes from his devotion to his own biological child.
-----------
This movie could be interpreted in many ways, but it has heart, good acting and good writing.
It's a little too melodramatic for my taste but still one of the better movies to come out of Hollywood recently.

Mildly woke
Show does have some mild wokeness but most of it is non-egregious except for a novel form of wokeness relating to autism.
This show presents autism as a superpower. This woke autism ruins the show's ending by turning it into a farce. The actor who plays the autist must've been chosen simply for being a black woman because she has no charisma or acting ability, and it's not because she's pretending to be autistic.
The show starts off good but decays into mediocrity, contradiction and farce as it goes on.

Undeniably some woke but still worth watching
There's a lot of shoehorning of gay/lesbian characters into the mix, which is especially odd and out of place it feels given how hostile 1960s America was to those folks and how open they are about it.
However, there is a compelling story that unfolds and our protagonist is very relatable in being both a genius and a kind of broken character.
Even if you aren't into chess, I'd still say that the story is interesting and at the very least they are good at building atmosphere

Pretty good show, but definitely a lot of wokeness
I'm a bit conflicted on this. The storytelling is solid, if not a bit silly now and then (it was, afterall, made for kids).
Initially I thought it was an Asian import but I could tell that it was not because of the woke elements such as all the "girl power" stuff and the boys all being sexist, dumb strawmen for the girls to "put in their place."
I'd be lying if I said there wasn't an explicit woke agenda here, and it's obvious that this show was written in the U.S. and not Asia.

Damn good show
Crazy realistic, gritty, and compelling.
Almost too realistic in its depiction of street life in Baltimore.
From the gangs, to the cops, to the docks, to the education system, to the media, you get the feeling about how all of Baltimore is corrupt to the core.
And anyone who tries to make a difference is ultimately swept under the rug.

The show is OK, but I don't see any wokeness
I don't get where the other reviewers are seeing wokeness.
There are dumb male (Jerry) and female (Summer) characters, smart male (Rick) and female (Beth) characters.
Stereotypes of teenagers (Morty, the horny loser-ish incel similar to Bud Bundy from MWC or Summer's female friends who are all shallow Gen Z types whose interests don't go beyond social media).
The humor is raunchy and offensive and not afraid to hurt anyone's feelings.
I mean it's an ok show, but definitely no wokeness I see. If anything it's explicitly anti-woke
