Not too terrible. A fun watch. Kind of.

I understand Anya Taylor-Joy is 5'8" and looks to be about 40kg, so she really can't be slugging around huge guns and fighting monsters, but that doesn't count much in this film. So, no woke. No extraterrestrial love affairs, no crying rooms or apologies. The Gorge is somewhat a fun film.

The only issue is that it starts out with a super cool premise, but kind of falls apart in the middle and esp. the end. The story goes in a few different directions and I wasn't really too interested in the new plot turns. Is it wrong to say I think Anya Taylor-Joy is sexy? And she's cool in this film too. Worth a watch.

Awesome show, funniest shit ever

I love this show, so many laughs.

I wouldn't really say there's any woke shit on it. I do think it's probably been toned down a bit over time, but no obvious wokeness and is still funny, plus there's still a fair bit of non pc stuff. Maybe not as good since Joe left (one of the guys on it).

Grindhouse Ghost Rider

Cage's weird as a blonde. Well, weirder. And he finally stole that black Mustang.
Fichtner is an absolute blast. He seriously deserves better. Heard is hot as it gets (it's an old movie), and an absolute bitch. She plays one too.

A bit heavy-handed. Milton. seriously? Low budget too, but it's part of the charm. Well, hopefully the budget was low.
And the cinematography does not compensate for it.
Well, they do get 8 shots from a six-shooter. Fanning the hammer's its own kind of magic.

All in all, not so bad.

This has no right to be this good.

Well, it's mostly due to Malkovich, who steals the movie despite the paper-thin character he's been given. Buscemi does a smashing job with his own caricature of a character, though. Add Cusack's solid performance, and Cage is out of his depth in this.
Bonus short role by Chappelle.

It's an action movie. It's stupid but enthusiastic, and a pleasant watch.

under-used Phillip K. Dick

Cage acts predictably weird, Biel is fascinatingly gorgeous and yet mostly devoid of presence, Moore's stiff as a board (guess she needed the money).

The script is simplified yet satisfyingly creative. I just enjoyed this one.

Better than Fast & Furious

and that's sayin' somethin'.

The movie does go full Dukes of Hazzard near the end. Jumps the shark and all.

Also, what with the colour grading? Everything's some tint of orange. You know when you've been tangoed, I guess.

Apart from that, a vehicular action heist movie, with a solid ensemble cast that's almost never on screen (Cage is).

Fast-paced, predictable, rather uninspired.
If possible, I would rate it 50%, it being the most aggressively middle-of-the-road (pun intended) movie I've seen for some time.

Surprisingly, not so bad

I went into this film thinking it might be kind of a cringy cop or FBI movie, just in general I guess. Rami is super cool, I've always like him in films. Turns out, it's an interesting if not all that groundbreaking plot, the story moves along well enough and it's quite fun. I can't say for sure if there were any lead FBI peeps or even the president of the United States of America as Native American Indian women or that nonsense. There might have been and it's been a while since I watched The Amateur, but I'll give it a woke-free pass.

Another Wes Anderson film about kind of nothing (if that's new)

I find myself a kind of Wes Anderson fan. Life Aquatic actually grew on me after a second viewing. Rushmore and Moonrise Kingdom were super fun. This movie doesn't have an agenda. To be honest, I'm not even sure if Wes Anderson is interested in woke ideology. Anyway, as far as that nonsense goes, it's great. The story isn't engaging, though, and there's quite a bit of Wes Anderson trope to be found.

This feels like one of those stupid stoner comedies from the 90's. You know the ones, where everyone is high all the time and the entire cast
is a bunch of bungling morons getting into silly over the top situations with lots of slapstick humor. This shoulf of been much better than it
actually is. It's the typical fake kidnapping gone wrong plot you've seen a dozen times before. The acting is ok but it's just not that funny. This is another movie that's not so much a bad movie as just mediocre. There is a little too much overrepresentation DEI casting and while pretty much every character is a moron, the ridiculous 4' 80lb angry black female cop is always dead serious and never does anything wrong. Her character is completely out of place in this movie. If you really love those old stoner movies you may get some enjoyment out of this just don't expect much.

Nothing woke. Nice low budget western. Excellent cinematography. The FX are well done, the acting is good, the writing is well done and not idiotic. The only negative I can really say about this is the irritating son. Why make this character so annoying and stupid? Other than that this an enjoyable not woke western.

I'm 3 episodes into this and enjoying it so far.

Sure there's a black guy and a latino on the team, but it doesn't feel forced like they were just thrown in.

Good action, the leader of the team is somewhat alpha and masculine which is missing in most shows now.

Only thing is one of the women on the team has a cuntish, disrespectful, bitchy, aggressive attitude that they put into everything now which i'm fucking sick of. Like they think women should be like that and then cry that they're 40 and no men are interested in them for some reason when they take this kind of behaviour as a model.

Anyway other than that good show, it's not enough to ruin it but would be much better without it. The other woman on the team is okay and just a normal woman.
