Excellent Movie

Nothing woke here.

Basically, Dracula with the names changed.
The history of the original movie is interesting.

Well, done all around.
This is what Hollywood can do when the socio-political garbage is expunged.

Cliché with Unlikable Characters

Some DEI checkbox casting in some early scenes. The acting is good and the FX are well done. The problem here is that it's all been done before.
As soon as you realilze what kind of movie it is you can see every little plot detail coming a mile away. Then theres the main characters who
are rather unlikable especially the female who does nothing at the start but complain about every thing the male character does and puts him
down at every opportunity. They make some stupid irrational decisions that don't help the story at all. It's not really so much that it's a bad movie as its just so mediocre and unoriginal.

It’s not woke, but it’s filled with another kind of propaganda.

The Brutalist tries to be deep and different, but it ends up being the same old thing: an overly long movie about a “tortured genius” fighting against the world without really questioning the system he’s trapped in. Brady Corbet throws in some flashy visuals to seem innovative, but the story—full of pretentious moments and stiff characters—barely scratches the surface of themes like masculinity, classism, and identity.
In the end, what seems like a reflection on art and oppression turns into a one-sided take where the protagonist finds refuge in Israel, without the film ever stopping to consider what that actually means. Instead of challenging the audience, The Brutalist settles into stale nostalgia and ends up feeling more like propaganda disguised as arthouse cinema. It’s not really woke—it flirts with progressive themes, but in a way that feels shallow and ultimately leans into a safe, traditional narrative. Worst of all, it fails to actually entertain, dragging on for three and a half hours without enough substance to justify its runtime.

Decent Non Disney Marvel Movie

I didn't notice any woke. The acting is pretty good and the story while not comics accurate is still a decent adaptation. The CG again is
is mostly good but there are a few instances of noticably shoddy scenes. I actually enjoyed this for what it was. It's a shame it did so
poorly in theaters as it would of been nice to see where all the character setups could of gone.

Another Poor Godzilla Movie

Nothing woke. While both the miniatures and cg FX look pretty good this time, the monsters don't. The story is just silly with the plot ignoring all past movies and playing as a direct sequel to the original with all the souls of those killed during the war inhabiting Godzilla's body for revenge and the other monsters are guardians trying to stop it. Far too much screen time is taken up with the human
characters and not nearly enough with Zombizilla and the other monsters. The story is too ridiculous and the acting is pretty bad by everyone with some odd slapstick eye rolling attempts at humor to make it worse.

Not Much of a Comedy

I saw nothing woke in the first 2 episodes. This one is a little hard to rate as it's very well done. The acting is great, the writing, story and dialog are all good. The problem for me though is that while it's labels a dark comedy it's not really funny. I mean yes the characters are a
little goofy but the story is so messed up and the Dr Ike character so slimy it's hard to find any humor. Then there's Marty who we are supposed to feel bad for but is so incredibly pathetic and whiny it's really hard to have any sympathy for him, he just comes off as a little annoying. I'm not familiar with the true story so I don't know how accurate it is. I still rated it average because it's not a bad show and if you can take the characters you may enjoy it more than I did.

Yeah! It's woke

It's a shame that when I came to check out this movie a couple of days ago, nobody had rated it yet. But anyway, I can weigh in on the previous comments and add that, even though I took the risk of watching it knowing it might be influenced by DEI policies, the premise intrigued me enough to give it a shot.

I usually avoid watching too many trailers to keep from getting spoiled, but when you're trying to escape the grip of woke propaganda, a little warning is always appreciated. This time, though, I walked right into it.

That aside, I have to say that, at its core, the movie's concept had potential, but the execution is all over the place. It has its ups and downs, some moments are interesting, while others are so ridiculously bad they completely pull you out of the story. And then there are parts where you just sit there thinking, Who the hell wrote this? A 14-to-16-year-old?!

In the end, whatever good ideas it had were buried under an excessive dose of radical feminist and forced inclusivity propaganda—things nobody asked for, shoved in just to tick boxes instead of telling a good story.

Period.

Ruined almost instantly.

I lasted about 10 minutes into this show. It's immediately obvious the feminist nonsense of so called 'strong independent women' but dialled up even more, they were walking like cocky, swaggering men.. disgusting, makes it not even worth continuing.

The cover and the fact that looking it up on google where they keep going on about how amazing it is that there's an all female gang.

Thanks. I'm not going nuts. At least not yet.

Hey. Thanks, Michaels for the review. I was like, "Is it me?" or, "are these films just in-your-face propaganda?". Yeah. Not two minutes into the film we see gay men talking about the "best looking man I've ever seen" and giving each other sentimental kisses over the stove. Pioneer Woman would cry tears of, uh, sentimentality. And we can't bother to even sneak the gayness into the film, just bang it over our heads.

Mild Woke

Depending on how we define woke, this film definitely contains woke elements including: homosexual reference with coffee art done by Agent Stone. Racial mixing (if its in the context of ridding the world of white people as we've seen lately). References to Magic Mike. Two extended scenes of shirtless men dancing and playing sports. Apparently one of the writers for this film (they are all men) has a thing for topless muscular dudes. And lastly, in the final battle Robotnik uses a Trump line "good people on both sides." An obvious attempt by these writers to paint Trump as an evil person akin to Robotnik. This should be an innocent kid's film but these writers have taken advantage of it to push their weird agendas. The first film was better.
