Kurt Hansen's Reviews
Too creepy for the DEI crowd. They may cry.
I didn't pay much attention to any agenda Stopmotion may have and, at first, I kind of discounted this movie as a throwaway indie type of movie. The plot is kind of thin and gets a bit artsy and vague at the end, but the animations and acting are done well and creepy.
I read a few spoilers about the film and changed my mind. Not that the giant, pink elephant in the plot needed a spoiler. I'm not an idiot. Just needed clarification on a few details. So, it's a good film. Some body horror. Cronenberg would appreciate it. Check it out.

Changed my mind. Not full of gay miners.
Amber Midthunder runs around calling white people racist and trying to get her land back. That's about as preachy as it gets. She is a Native American actress, so good for her. Actually, I watched this before and thought that I turned it off because there were a bunch of gay miners trapped, but I think that was a different movie. There's so many movies with that going on, I sometimes forget.
It's a fun, wintery cold movie. CGI extreme, but what can we do about that? I recommend it. It's good.

Can't say how much of an agenda Candy Land has...
The film is full of kind of anti-religion cultist people, and it has a cop-on-man relationship, but I'm not sure it has much of an agenda. It must get one star on the woke-o-meter, though, for both those reasons.
Overall, it's a fun movie. It's quite bloody. The plot is straightforward enough and I like the Olivia Luccardi a bunch. As a matter of fact, I was kind of cheering for her even though the other characters weren't really dislikeable either.

Here's our in-your-face agenda!
I have retracted a bit of the hate from my original review. Aside from this film being an in-your-face liberal propaganda piece, it's kind of a cutesy "as expected" romantic comedy. In that sense, it's a fun watch. Previous review (updated):
"Lesbian-interracial couple marriage in Australia. And I so wanted to just sit and watch a silly romantic comedy with a hot looking woman. Sydney Sweeney isn't actually all that good in this movie, but she's sexy! (update: yeah, she's cute)
This film (update: This film's over the top inclusion and DEI brainwashing) makes me want to vomit. I try to not use the word, "Woke" on this board so much, since it's in the actual DNS name of the site. But that's what it is. Here's a couple other words: Hollywood swill (Update: But, still kind of a fun little RomCom).
I'm sure it'll appeal to the dimwit university programmed DEI robots who grew up in this time of asshats. This movie (Update: This movie's inclusionary vision) sucks.

Well made sad garbage
The filmmaking and acting isn't bad at all for an IMDb low-rated movie, it's just that the story is kind of garbage. I'm like, ugh, whatever. Stupid HAL-9000 computer that runs and controls all things IoT. Predictable. Seen it before. At least the rogue computer wasn't a vindictive mixed race electronic lesbian couple. None of that.

A surprise. with a bit of cringe, but overall a good movie
I'll admit, it was scary coming into this film as it looked like it would be a kind of a really politically correct, check the boxes in a relationship and woman power kind of movie, but it's just a fun RomCom, underdog succeeds kind of happy type of movie.
Admittedly, there's a few cringy scenes with Anna and William fighting and whatnot, so I did skip a few 30-second blocks. Doesn't matter, I fast-skip RomComs all the time.

Let's start with the white dude screaming: "money! money! money!". Lampman is a sexy cop chasing down Jason "The Beekeeper" Statham. Good thing she's the most intelligent black woman on the case, ever. Her and all the lacky white FBI (CIA? Who cares?) dudes-- about as smart as a tomato those whites, and, of course, all the blacks and women heading up the FBI, CIA, presidency and I'd say, the universal council of the universe will crack the case. It's just so transparent DEI that it makes me want to puke.
Thank God Statham kicks ass or this would be a complete waste. Not that it isn't a waste.

Bombs and guns and stuff
A silly, fun action movie with enough guns, bullets, bombs to make any liberal, granola-eating snowflake weep tears of agony.

Little less nutty than it thinks it is
Poor Things is nominated for an Oscar because it's an art or film student's love child and dream. Fortunately, as it moves forward, the story isn't all that complicated that us "regular" 9-to-5 kinds of people won't be able to understand it and, actually, it's quite good.
We could live without, say, 45 minutes of over the top sex scenes, women on women, on circus freaks, men playing dress-up and the kinky stuff added in order to offend, like, Jerry Falwell. I was not offended; I got tired of the film pandering to the cause so, for that, it gets a mild woke rating.

Aside from the obvious go-to choice
Of course this film centers around black issues and has a black cast. For that, it's actually a great story and Jeffrey Wright is a cool lead.
Why the gay brother? Why gay? He could have been the "black sheep" of the family for having a lazy eye, or being the youngest, or oldest sibling, or maybe he talked with a lisp. And over-the-top, speedo wearing gays for no other reason than to move the agenda forward. Shame, an interesting story with great acting hijacked by Hollywood box-checkers.
