Kurt Hansen's Reviews
A Little bit of 80's Goonie-ness
I guess we could make the argument that Elevator Game doesn't consist completely of Gen-Z White men looking for a monster in an elevator, but to be honest, the film sticks to a 1985-kind-of Goonies cast that works well together and the plot at least keeps our attention. Elevator Game even throws a few jabs in on the younger generation, which is cool: live at home with your parents, don't want to "adult" and so on. Gotta love that. The scares are few and far between, but like I say, it's worth a watch.

Good lord. And I forgot to leave a review on this garbage?
Yeah. It's so hard to watch. Men suck and Ryan Gosling is here for a paycheck. Who knows? Maybe he hates men too. I don't know Ryan. I'd take the part of an emasculated, castrated man for a few million. Whatever. This film is a "Marxist Lesbian" dream. Ugh.

Agree with other reviewers: Super Unnecessary Sequel with DEI
This from a reviewer who sat through way too many locusts in The Heretic. We just do not need another Exorcist sequel, but a sequel loaded with in-your-face DEI casting and for what? The only thing I disagree here with on WokeRNot is that it needs a 2/5 wokeness for the DEI.

Good "remake" with a great cast.
I didn't expect this to be a remake of the movie "Alive". I mean, remember all the controversy surrounding the cannibalism? Actually, I don't think there was. Maybe a little buzz.
I think Society of the Snow does a better job than Alive from an authentic perspective and it tells the story better, but in the end I was like, "must we go over this eating people thing again?".
I will say that casting dudes from Uruguay and other non-Ethan Hawk lands was a great decision. Not a bad film. Check it out.

80's Style Wokeness. No Problem.
Yeah. There's a heavy duty interracial couple here, but I'll forgive it. Reminds me of the few interracial couple you'll find in 80's horror movies. Not in your face. Not entirely necessary, but whatever. No other DEI shoved in your face. Just blood and guts. Thanksgiving in a fun movie full of blood and guts. I'd recommend it.

For streaming, not much woke here
I thought this movie was a Netflix-made movie, or Paramount or whatever made for streaming services. Usually, those kind of movies are excellent candidates for wokeness. I'm sure Blackberry injects a little bit of wokeness into the story, it wasn't noticeable. The story isn't too bad, if not just a little trite. If you're looking for kind of a fun watch without much of a DEI agenda, watch Blackberry.

A Little Research Would have Helped
Yeah. I couldn't make it 5 minutes into this film. How many times can a man repeat, "I love him"? In Saltburn, a whole lot. Do yourself a favor and look up a tiny bit of research on this movie. Seems it's jam packed with homoeroticism, "pent-up testosterones" and shirtless young boys. I knew something was up once I started to puke in my mouth.

As Woke as it Gets
My wife watches this mainly because she's been watching it for years. I can't comment on episodes from the past, but you'll be hard pressed to find any episode that doesn't have in-your-face wokeness, esp. when there are woke fires burning in the media (i.e., cops shoots black man). We then have an entire episode dedicated to revising the real life drama in all it's wokeness.
