Funny, clean, not the deepest plot, good rendered animation
It's predictable, but fun. There's no agenda other than the prejudice between cats and dogs. The voice acting is great. In particular, Samuel and Ricky were outstanding. There were a lot of clever gags. It's clean fun for kids with enough humor that adults will enjoy it too.

Another "root for the bad-guy" movie
The reality is, if a guy points a gun at people to take what doesn't belong to him, he's a bad guy and shouldn't be celebrated. That is, except in movies like this one.
No woke, unless you count a mixed-race marriage. I don't count that as woke unless it comes with an agenda. It's just incidental in this one.
Truth is stranger than fiction. You would have to be pedantic to find the differences between this movie and the actual events. I'm amazed at how closely they followed the true story. Leigh didn't work at the Toys'R'Us store and his makeshift room was actually in the vacant Circuit City space next door. That's not a lot of differences.

Two versions. Neither match the book.
This movie was completed, revised, then released. The revision added Kris Kristofferson in a completely different ending. This is the revised version. The original was released a few years later "Payback: Straight Up." If I remember right, Gibson clashed with the director and forced this version for original release.
Gibson recreates Porter from The Hunter (novel). He wasn't such a likeable character in the book. There's zero woke in this movie. This version has the narration by Gibson that makes it more enjoyable. It's more like the old time Noir detective films. If you like dark humor in violent situations, and six-shooters that don't need reloaded, This is great.

Interesting
The story was not horrible, but there really was no "Tournament" like the '95 movie.
The movie set design for most of the movie was rather bland as they used a lot of industrial/worksite or normal buildings that just make it feel blaa compared to the sets that were built for the '95 set. Visually, it is better , has better fights, and has more characters from the game.
This movie was still missing a few of the characters '95.
It is more serious than the '95 movie and not as much comedy as in '95 movie.

Interesting
Love that they used the music from the games in the movie and used the many catchphrases from the game.
Lots more jokes and comedy than the reboot serious.
Good set designs that look like places from the actual games.
Actually has a tournament.

One of the most retarded movies of all time
The movie is just a dumb leftist talkin' point about enviromentalism.
Oh and in the end the presidents says: "now we are guests in countries we previously called the third world", shows how anti-western the movie is.
Oh and the weather freezing your body in mere seconds? Yeah, Roland Emerich is a dumb retard.

What happened to Beckinsales career? This is almost the same movie and review as for her terrible Canary Black movie. It's a generic boring, badly written action film but I think it's actually the worse of the 2 movies. They are so similar in look and feel I actually think they filmed a ton of generic scenes and then edited it into 2 different movies. The acting here is not very good. Kate has the same weird deep raspy voice that sounds like she's been smoking 2 packs a day her whole life. Her hair is dyed the same and cut the same in both movies, she walks around in the same black leather coat and high heel boots that are out of place to be doing action scenes in. This one is more woke than Canary however. A lot of DEI overrepresentation, all leadership
roles and positions of power are held by females with the men being thugs and followers. Beckinsale is in her 50's and way to scrawny and small to be beating up on much smaller younger males sometimes multiple at once. They also had to have her banging the Chinese dude because we just have to get that mixed race box checked. Then
there is the deaf daughter and the use of sign language. I've seen so much of this casting having deaf characters in particular and some sort of disability in general lately this has be considered some sort of woke overrepresentation at this point. I mean only an estimated 1% of world population is deaf so this has to be a diversity and inclusion push that would fall under DEI. I gave up on this one around the 50 minute mark when she walks into an s/m club with a bunch of duds walking
around, dancing and get spanked in leather outfits. No one wants to see that garbage.

One of the greatest shows of all time
It has to be one of the most truthful and realistic depictions of the birth of the Roman Empire.
From a cesspool of degeneracy ruled by decadent nobles, purged by one great man to establish the greatest empire every formed.
It does take a few liberties, for example the brief incestuous relationship between Octavian and his sister, but it does not alter the history.

I only made it to 30 min but nothing really woke at that time. Listed as a thriller it's basically husband cheats on his wife than is harrased by
the other woman and blackmailed. The scenery and cinematography is great, at least until they get onto the hot air balloon. At this point the terrible green screen is so poorly done and noticeable. The biggest issue though is the awful acting. Although it says it is from the U.K it's like they hired all non English speaking actors. All of the lines are delivered with this sort of stilted dialogue it is so distracting and unnatural. By 30 minutes I just couldn't keep going and the story seemed like it was going to be very slow and unoriginal anyway.

An odd little forgotten gem from the 70's
Mother, Jugs & Speed is an odd black comedy from the 70's with Bill Cosby and Raquel Welch. And Larry Hagman. There's a handful of quite cringe scenes, including one where Hagman tries to have sex with an unconscious women in the back of their ambulance, and there's 70's style sexism and racism with a bit of resolution to that at the end.
I'm rating this because it's kind of a forgotten film that's held up pretty well over the years despite the 70's era not giving Raquel Welch her woman's rights and over-the-top craziness from Hagman's part. There's also more than enough darker moments to surprise the viewer. If you look just a little deeper, you get a ton of one-liners out of this one too.
