It only took about 10 minutes to see how bad this was going to be and I still struggled along to the 40 minute mark. There is DEI way overrepresentation of minorities. Black, Asian, Spanish strong feminist women, this has at least one of each. The small Spanish female 'badass' was well on her way to full girlboss when I gave up. The acting isn't so much bad as the dialog and writing is awful. Nothing makes any sense within any coherent story narrative, characters just show up and we don't know who they are, things just happen that make no sense or are never explained. The whole thing feels like a heist movie parody. Everything is so over the top, silly and just ridiculous. As an example this is the first 10 minutes of the movie-Our group is in the middle of the heist and the movie is setting up the characters, then a car pulls up with a white ginger male, his Columbian wife and their mixed race daughter. The daughter says her dad works there so assuming an employee,
otherwise we have no idea who these people are. The father notices a car that's not supposed to be there and peeks in the back door and sees the robbery. He runs back to the car and tells his wife not to call the police, pulls out a gun and says he's going to rob the thieves. What!? He then gets into a shootout with them grabs the money and tries to escape, with his wife and daughter in the car. Wahlberg's character is apparently superhuman as he has no problem keeping up with a speeding car on foot as it speeds away smashing through fences and onto an active horse racing track to get crashed into by some really bad CG horses. Wahlberg of course follows, keeping up easily. The car then speeding along the track has a horse run up and over the car (not jump, run) hood to trunk while not breaking any windows or denting the car. The car then still speeding along slams into a jockey rocketing him up and over the car just to jump up like nothing happened and get slammed into by a horse that for some reason is chasing the car. I'm not making this up I swear. Wahlberg meanwhile running along in front of hundreds of people and cameras all over the track with his mask pulled down shoots someone then proceeds to pull his mask up over his face. It's so absurdly stupid and dumb it feels like it could of been
a Monty Python movie. This is in the first 10 minutes remember and it doesn't get any better. With an hour and twenty minutes still to go I wasn't wasting any more of my time with this.

Great start, steady decline, then fell off
The acting was great. The concept was great. After the first couple of seasons, the writers seemed to lose direction. There were some things that just didn't make sense, such as the fat guy, who was in charge of the food, was persuaded to stop his secret bingeing. He then proceeded to destroy his food stash. They're marooned on an island. Destroy the food supply? That's just one example. The management of firearms got kind of weird.
The back-story style was great for character development. Tension was built with slowly unfolding mysteries. The chemistry between characters was very good.
This show is notoriously known for the dumpster fire of an ending. That rep is well earned. You can find social media threads dedicated to arguing about the entire series being nothing but a purgatory being lived out. I still don't get the ending. If you follow through, and think you've got it figured out, leave a comment. This site allows that now.

Gotta be a little woke to poke fun at everyone!
Best of it's genre. Love that it pokes fun at everyone. Irreverent, and it's a win just for that in this cancel heavy world.

First Season Awesome, next, not so much.
I wish they would have maintained the focus on Reacher, as in the first season, rather than expand it to his former team. The show is called "Reacher" for a reason. Some woke elements in later seasons.

First Season Only
Love this series so far. The blond daughter is vicious! I'm sure they'll introduce woke elements as the seasons progress. That's what happens in Hollywood, get popular, then they get woke. Sure hope not!

Not for me, but really great movie
After finishing the movie Love Birds, somehow I watched Bring Her Back with no intention of watching back-to-back Sally Hawkins films. I do like Sally Hawkins. She is awesome and does a top notch performance in this movie. Actually, it's well acted all around. Spooky and engaging story, despite being overtly mega-bloody at times with a little supernatural sprinkled in.
It seems the first film, "Talk To Me", which I didn't like because I know it was implausible and not very realistic- like, I'm kind of foggy on it, but I remember them wheeling a kid out of the hospital with no problems at all? And, the first film has an in-your-face transgender playing one part or another.
None of that in Bring Her Back. For me, I got a high cringe factor right in the middle of the film, feeling it was just a bit off. Andy was too trusting? Sally's character performs kind of amateur mind tricks on the kids? It just didn't resonate with me.
And the end, spoiler free, I didn't care for. The ending did, however, have one thing going for it: no ambiguity. Today, I think directors choose to leave endings ambiguous so as not to offend the young generation. How can you not like an ending if it's open to interpretation?
Bring Her Back is an excellent film. A little cringe for my taste and maybe a little too bloody. I wonder if it was CGI blood? Likely.

Fun, but "Super"-ficial Movie
Lot's of action, but no real development of characters. Misplaced humor. So much potential for drama that they skipped or minimized. Also, Superman was portrayed as pretty wimpy, and inconsistent (woke agenda). I came out of the theater with a positive experience. The dog and supergirl were a stupid addition.
Also forgot about the James Gunn immigrant reference. Also, was confused by the "tender" scene between superman and lois, in a dark room with a giant alien monster fight in the background...why?

WOKEcome to DEIrry
***THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!***
Well, OF COURSE!!! Make the black characters nice, smart and capable, and the white characters either dumb or evil! Make the males die and the women survive and become the main characters! Female empowerment! *facepalm* Make sure racism is clearly portrayed! Make the Jewish close-minded and evil too (this doesn’t bother me that much, to be honest, just made me roll my eyes)! Oh, oh, and show how disgusting meat eaters are! Oh, and of course, make a baby in the womb a fully evil thing and portray childbirth as something disgusting and evil too! Don’t even bother about making the product even 5 % scary, just follow the agenda, that’s all that matters.
Man, and I thought this would be great, especially since it wasn’t produced by Netflix. Boy, was I wrong!

EDIT:
Alright, I watched episode 2 and they should rename the show to “Welcome To Detroit: The Clam Bake”.
It’s just more of the same: racism, racism, racism! Black characters EVERYWHERE, black characters that are either sooo smart, fearless, capable, experts, heroines without capes, or just plain victims of the evil white man!! Wow, subtle! White characters are, of course, either cowards, racists, deceivers, plain annoying, or they just don’t give a damn.
Whenever you catch a break from all that, then it’s all about women, women, women! Women who are wise, women who speak up, women who get intimidated, women who got sexually abused by a man, women who (OF COURSE) died in childbirth—because, remember, childbirth is EVIL and abortion is the answer!
The intro is also lame, and there’s barely anything remotely scary or thrilling.
LGBTQ crap is the only thing surprisingly missing, and I assume it will be introduced (more like forced) very soon into the show. I am not gonna stick around to see it, though. I’m done with this shit.
