Not sure... King is a Marxist, but this is based on a short story so it might be a bit more un-Kingsian.

Either way, practically the only film based on a King trashonovel that's good... We can't count The Shining as it was drastically changed...

The more Britain moves toward the brink of total decay the more people will laugh at this idiotic movie which tried to portray the future as a fascist one, when in fact all the signs pointed toward a Marxist dictatorship, all along, many years even before this ridiculous rubbish came out... Critical of controlled immigration, and just generally very Marxist.

Aside from that, it is an incredibly stupid film full of cringe.

Women good, men bad... The hypocrisy of Affleck and Damon taking part in this, when they were the ones, out of many in Hollywood, who knew about Harvey Weinstein and his shenanigans... Affleck even co-wrote this garbage, so you can imagine how dumb it must be...

Ridley Scott is a textbook case of a hasbeen, and even a leftist shill because he didn't mind injecting his stupid movies with political propaganda just to get funding...

Very anti-military, which in the 80s was especially leftist...

Obviously political. The plot line in itself says it all.

This may be just a very dumb teen comedy but it includes many liberal tropes: a pro-Obama comment, criticism of capitalism, mockery of Christians, gay agenda, the stupid comment that the American Civil War was about slavery, interracial adoption, all sorts of Liberal rubbish...

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's going to be a difficult one to rate in terms of politics... I am right-wing but I totally oppose Russia's policies, and I consider Putin one of the biggest scumbags of this era: this however seems to be an opinion of the entire Western left. Pretty much the ONLY thing I agree with them on...

So if a movie is anti-Russian is it liberal, left-wing?... Definitely not, especially because Putin is neither left nor right, he is a typical opportunist who misuses whatever bits he can find in various ideologies. A former communist, mind you, and certainly his centrist dictatorship has a lot more in common with the Far Left than anything else. Russia is essentially run with a nationalist-socialist system, much like Hitler's Germany was. It's a combination of the Far Left and the Far Right.

Whether the movie has any Western liberal propaganda, I don't know. But if it's only focused on Putin then it should get a 0 out of 5 on the political Lefty scale.

I seem to recall a few liberal lines here and there, which considering this very Marxist cast is logical...
