I disagree with 1st reviewer who seems to think that leftism "wasn't yet invented" in the 70s. Left-wingisms had existed in cinema since its beginning... Plenty of Marxist propaganda in 20th-century films...

Another piece of trash by Apatov. Political nepo baby Amy Schumer is the worst comedienne of all times, and proof that anybody can be a celebrity - provided they stem from a powerful, wealthy and influential clan. She's the stereotypical JP. Even worse: a nepo JP, and that obviously means a Marxist nepo JP as well.

Possibly Kubrick's worst movie.

Firstly, because he didn't seem to have a penchant for comedy, the only genre he failed at.

Secondly, because the satire is based on bullshit rather than truth. Portraying the US military and government as a bunch of nuclear-happy lunatics didn't make sense to me even when I was a teenager, hence I never found it funny. For comedy to work it needs to be based in some kind of reality that makes sense, especially satire. You can't satirize something that isn't there.

If he had made equal fun of the Soviets that would have improved things, certainly because it would have included an element of reality. But even then it would have been a stupid film. Not to mention unfunny.

The threat of nuclear war was real, but Kubrick back then was still a misinformed Jewish man who believed leftist propaganda. He would later change his politics, because he was too intelligent to remain a leftist, and certainly not immoral enough to stay a leftist. Despite the fact that this would have helped his career, in a Hollywood that was becoming increasingly Marxist.

It is very ironic that these same liberals that he trusted back in the 60s would be the ruin of him in the 90s, when they completely destroyed the final version of Eyes Wide Shut: the version that came out was not Kubrick's. What very few people know is that this movie was about pedophilia and cults, and that was too close to comfort for Hollywood elites, even back then in the late 90s. According to very reliable inside sources, and you can find this stuff on YouTube, he screamed his ass off at Warner Brothers executives for destroying his film. If that film confuses you know that it's not his fault: Hollywood's mafia destroyed it by taking out some key scenes, or by not allowing him to complete the shoot...

Anyway, if you are a fan of cheesy comedy and you are an incorrigible Marxist, this is the film for you...

This great comedy would be considered racist now by many liberals...

Why?

Because liberals are closet racists who get easily triggered by accurate portrayals of genuine tribal life. Whenever confronted with such stuff their reaction is racist, and this bothers them because it reminds them that they are the biggest racists... A black or American Indian person living the tribal life to a leftist implies inferiority, whether they want to admit it or not. Despite the fact that at the core of Marxist ideology there is this deification of the "noble savage". But that's because leftists never mean what they say and they never say what they really mean.
