No woke, all white
Not even a token DIE character. Typical Hallmark style Christmas movie, light on the Christmas, heavy on the Lifetime.

“What do we say to the god of death? Not today.”
"John Wick" is a Hollywood-y story centered around Russian mafia in New York City. Nothing terribly woke.
Reek (played by Theon Greyjoy) messes with a puppy owned by Neo (played by Thomas A. Anderson). As usual, Reek is looking like a bewildered stray neutered cat, which might explain why he doesn't like dogs. Neo knows Kung-Fu and has three sequel movies, so you can guess how this is going to end up for Reek.
A woman mostly holds her own in hand-to-hand combat with a man. However, she was trying to kill him whereas he was trying not to kill her, which could explain why she seemed his equal in combat.
If you enjoy pew-pew-pew, you will enjoy "John Wick". If you don't enjoy pew-pew-pew, you still might enjoy it. “Guns. Lots of guns.”

Woke ? Yes ! Good ? Yes ! !
The core is woke, absolutely, definitely. That's the essence of the story. But... It's damn good too, very well executed. Can't skip this one ! I know a masterpiece when I see one. Give this one a chance, if you're a cinema fan.

Not woke, but keep searching
"Searching" features a modern approach to a missing person mystery. I noticed nothing woke.
Much of the screentime consists of looking at computer screens showing social apps. It is somewhat novel, but has been done before. It is done well here, but still it is annoying. In general, the film comes off a bit amateur.
Early on, I figured out pretty much what was going on. However, the director tosses in plenty of red herrings to try to throw you off the scent.
There seems to be nothing woke. The film centers around a Korean family (US born). Otherwise, it is a fairly white cast, considering it is set in Silicon Valley. There aren't even any gays or transgenders.
Overall, although not woke it is a bit pedestrian. Keep searching for something better.

Ok For a Younger Kids Movie.....Maybe.
DEI overrepresentation in casting is about the extant of woke. This is basicaly a 80's or 90's throwback kids horror movie.
It's not the worst thing ever but the acting is pretty bad by all the kids. It's a bit cliché but the story could of worked with better acting and writing. Younger kids may enjoy it but that's about all.

Unpolished but enjoyable
Like "The Covenant", the plot of "Warhorse One" centers around escaping the Taliban. It is not woke.
Although the movie is enjoyable, something feels off in the acting and flow. It is like a made-for-TV movie in that you can sometimes see the "seams" of the production. The little girl's acting is superb, though, and the lead guy is fully competent.
At least it is not woke. If anything, the film is a bit anti-woke, as characters are critical of Biden's hurried half-assed withdrawal from Afghanistan.
I quite liked that the director made a "Chekhov’s Gun” fake-out. It has to do with a skill the little girl learns but then *doesn't* use later. However, a "deus ex machina" is invoked instead.
Overall, it is worth a watch as popcorn entertainment. Its positives more than make up for its flaws.

Woke
Based on the book, not real events. Ok movie although it is slow paced. Not a Christian friendly movie. Spoiler: the new pope is a... hermaphrodite.

Diddy did the casting?
"EDtv" is a rom-com that riffs on reality shows. There is little woke, despite being full of the liberals we love to hate.
Ellen DeGeneres gets much of the limelight, as does Rob Reiner. Michael Moore, Ariana Huffington, and RuPaul get a few seconds each. Despite the liberal actors and director (Ron Howard) and the setting of San Francisco, wokeness is mostly avoided. I attribute this to the year, 1999, too early for mandatory virtue signalling. However, the mere presence of RuPaul in drag garners a woke point as a warning to viewers. Also, note that promiscuous sex and infidelity is a major theme, so this is not for kids.
This cute romantic comedy is reasonably entertaining. However, it is not going to change your life for the better.

Woke free
No woke themes or DIE casting. Based on a true story, but lacks depth.

Another Unfunny 'Comedy'
Listed as a comedy but I don't see how. It's really just incompetent old white male failing. It's not funny at all, just a drama. It's meant to be a fish out of water with a character faced with unfamiliar situations. The problem is the Keaton character seems to be terrible at everything. Hes a bad father, bad husband and seemingly a bad business man as he's horribly in debt and about to loose his business. When a character is this incompetent at everything the fish out of water scenario doesn't work as it just comes off as pathetic and not funny. The acting is fine but some of dialogue is poorly written especially the kids. This is another movie where the kids lines are unrealistic for their ages. No 9 year olds talk or act like this little girl does. The son is almost completely ignored
and could of been left out of the movie entirely as the smart competent 9 year old girl helping her clueless father is the focus. Then
there's the gay guy who just sobs like a infant every time the wind blows.

Amateur Arthouse Fail
Implied mixed race hook up where the beta white manbun is obsessed with the black female and wants more than a one time hookup
but the black female shoots him down. The U.S. president speaks with a british accent for some stupid reason. The acting and dialogue in general are not good. The background music is odd and out of place. This is listed as a political satire, dark comedy, horror but it's painfully
unfunny, slow and dull. As a horror it fails as well. The FX look cheap and there are no scares. Add to this weird lighting and terrible green screen shots and it just comes across as a failed attempt at arthouse cinema.
