If you feel it, chase it!
"Twisters" is a classic Hollywood style popcorn movie. Wokeness is mostly avoided.
Mild SPOILERS follow.
The supporting cuck, Javi, has a crush on the lead woman, Kate, but she friend boxes him. If you have a hard time figuring out what race Javi is, it is because the actor is literally a mix of all races. That's fine, but if this sappy man-child had won the heart of the white leading lady over the white uber chad, then I would have thrown a woke flag on the play.
A review above notes that there is a pro-Socialist message. The tornado scientists and chasers are only possible due to either Socialism (Federal employment in the case of Kate), predatory Capitalism (Javi's team's investor who just wants good deals on land), or shlocky entertainment Capitalism (the chad's YouTube revenue and merchandising). The film portrays Capitalism in a negative light.
Furthermore, the film pushes a theme of "forget the money, we have to save the people!" When the main characters try to save people before a tornado hits, that is just stupid; the people who live in tornado alley damn well know what to do. It could be perceived as a Christian attitude, but it comes off as hippy-dippy.
However, without a racial or climate change component, I will shy away from calling this movie woke. One IMDB reviewer pans the movie in part because "There is zero mention of climate change and the human causes of more extreme weather." Heh.
Overall, it is a cute, entertaining movie, a throwback to 1990's summer blockbusters. The hippy vibe detracts slightly. I give it 3.5/5, rounded up to 4.

Brainz
It's a pretty standard zombie flick of the sprinting zombies variety. It is well done, with no cringe moments. Nothing woke.
The zombie plague is caused by a rabies-like disease, so no raising the dead (I think). That makes it more realistic. Unfortunately, it takes only about 10 minutes to go from bitten to zombie, which just doesn't seem medically possible, barring something like nanites.

Made to order 2024 alien enthusiasm
There has been an explosion in the online alien video genre. Lots of B grade investigative type shows are popping up like this one. It's entertaining, but the people featured in this series and ex-whatever, govt / military / scientist are without much personality to engage the viewer. Except for the recycled appearance of figures more prominent in more popular series like Melon and Bigalow, it seems this series is trying to introduce new characters but they do little to carry viewer intrigue. They are kind of just there. They make a lot of sweeping statements and claims leading viewers to a conclusion but don't offer much evidence. I'm half way through the series and it better pick up or I may not be able to keep watching. I wouldn't call it woke, but they do have one gay ex military pilot helping do investigations for whatever reason which could just as easily be done by George Knapp alone. None of the characters that work with George are necessary at all including the ex-CIA guy. This series could just as easily be called Knapp Alien Investigations.

Could have been good, but lazy
I like Adkins, in a Van Damme kind of way, but let's be honest, he's even less able to carry a movie on his acting chops alone.
The whole movie feels cheap. Sometimes in a clever way, as in the constrained settings, but mostly in a, well, cheap way.
Adkins is pushing 50 now, and it feels as though he's not trying that much anymore. Eve used to be a smoke show, but that was 20 years ago; she's still apparently too expensive to actually appear in more than one scene, though.
Photography is competent if uninspired, music is absent, it could be an OK movie, but the script needs so much tightening!
Characters feel flat, artificial, cookie-cutter, and the actors feel jaded. Except for the actress playing Mona, she gives it an honest try.
The dialog-to-brawling ratio is very unfavourable for Adkins, who also looks fairly awkward handling firearms. The script has more holes than plot, but could have been rather easily fixed, which is all the more frustrating.
Giving Adkins the John Wick training is probably expensive; proof-reading a 50 pages script is probably affordable.
Oh well, Adkins has done worst in the past.
But not often.

Season 1 Awesome, but sadly went downhill in 2.
I really loved season 1, it was crazy, random, unexpected. Good characters for the most part.
Only complaint was the bitchy disrespectful woman in it, which sadly is way too common, and i'm sick of that shit. Which is the 2 score for wokeness.
Season 2 only 2 episodes in the faggotry appears (crossdressing disgustingness) I tried to keep watching and turned it off. I come back a few days later it looks like from s02e02 at the end it was resolved and that character won't be back, so i'm hoping it'll continue without any of it.
So far season 2 isn't as good as the first one, but i'm still giving it a go since it seemed to get past that stuff.

Not that woke
Some one liners and conversations, but nothing indoctrinating. Husband is fully emasculated and wife is strong, independent. Wild ending.

One of my favorite re-watch movies.
I have no idea why anyone would label this movie as woke. It's very entertaining. The CGI is great. Tom hardy is outstanding. The story is, well, it's a superhero movie. It's outlandish. Just let go and enjoy it. The little quips between Venom and Eddie make the movie.

Over-rated in my opinion
Missed this in the hey-days of MTV, finally got around to checking what the hype was about.
The first runs do a pretty good job of a suspenseful, dialog-less, condensed narrative, with each episode being under 5mn. And the main characters dies before the end of each episode. Music is different and appropriate.
The last season is closer to the norm: 22mn and dialog. And far less interesting.
Still, I couldn't get over the art style, and the pervasive sexual fetish imagery.
I can see how it could serve the underlying discourse, but I find it complacent, and thus gratuitously degenerate.
Not woke per se, but definitely proto-edgelordy of the time.
A miss for me.

More Anti-White Racism
Given that Brandy is a terrible actor and always has been her casting here is straight DEI. Of course her husband is white. Stepmom is a racist. Her awful acting is front and center in the first 5 minutes and it doesn't get any better. The writing is poor and makes no sense. One scene she's upset that her employment taking away some of her classes and afraid she might lose her job and then a couple scenes later she just suddenly quits because her boss missed their appointment, then the next scene she's complaining about not having money to buy a can of paint. Portrays Christians as crazy racist evil cultists. This is yet another slow boring drama attempting to leach onto the horror genre to trick people into watching. There is nothing scary, no blood or gore, no kills. Just a senile old annoying woman's bodily functions. It's racist anti white trash, nothing more.

Phone home
While not an original idea, this alien visitor movie is well done. Alas, wokeness is awkwardly and unnecessarily shoehorned into the plot, tarnishing an otherwise excellent movie.
The plot is much like E.T. but with senior citizens in place of kids. There is even a recurring but subtle "phone home" joke. The film paints the government properly negatively, shown as illegally monitoring virtually all communications by Americans.
As for wokeness, there are references to a lesbian daughter. It is done awkwardly, obviously for virtue signalling and propaganda purposes. The message is: "See? All senior citizens fully support the LGBT+ community!". This issue recurs and becomes a plot nuisance.
Overall, it is a surprisingly enjoyable movie. The woke interludes bring it down a notch, though.

10 Seconds to Interracial Lesbo Love
I really don't actually try and watch these shit films so I can get all in the movie's face about having a lard-ass black woman and white chick going at it 10 seconds into the film. I just wanted a stupid, maybe rom-com type to watch with my wife on a Sunday morning.
