The poster kinda gives it away...

Nowhere is it specified what kind of a dictatorship this is, not in the movie not in the book, and since the Far Left and the Far Right are extremely similar we can argue for ages about this...

The notion that the Left supports Free Will is ludicrous. It completely supports the opposite, or "you can have your damn Free Will if you must but as long as it's the same as the will of the Marxist state that you should always listen to". Sort of like Noam Chomsky and Neil deGrasse Tyson saying that "you should think for yourself" but only as long as "you think the same as we do".

Stanley Kubrick was a leftist when he made that unfunny piece of shit Doctor Strangelove, but by the time he got to Full Metal Jacket he was no longer a leftist. Read some of the stuff he said later on...

Such irony that his last movie was butchered beyond recognition by the same leftist elites whose political views he shared during the 60s, and just because that movie was coming dangerously close to exposing the Satanic, orgiastic, pedophilic tendencies of America's elites... Eyes Wide Shut was never completed, and in fact Kubrick was extremely furious with Warner Brothers for destroying his movie. If you're confused by it you are confused for a good reason: because it was never completed. The movie was about pedophilia, which already ran rampant in America's showbiz and political circles in the 90s...

Very dumb movie, and not coz it promotes climate change hysteria. It's just really moronic, so many idiotic things going on... though not boring, precisely because it is so over-the-top stupid.

The movie mocks Republican politicians, such as Dick Cheney (a sellout who deserves it actually), so it does get specific, it's not vague in its anti-Republican sentiment... It was election year in 2004 which is when Hollywood tends to go more full retard than usual.

The movie specifically blames capitalism for climate change, which is typical leftist hypocrisy because Emmerich is just as capitalist as Elon Musk and Michael Bay... What a dummy...

Promotes the idea that a woman will dump a bully after the bully beats up the nice guy... Which completely goes against real female nature. This is a very left-wing trope, because it ignores female nature as being essentially opportunistic and contradictory, always preferring financial security and physical strength to poverty and wimpiness. It also promotes the idea that a wimpy and sensitive guy will find or should find more favour among women... A preposterous idea...
