Holy wokefest where to start with this. Way over the top overrepresentation in DEI hires. Woodsboro is suddenly the most diverse place on earth. The leads are Spanish sisters and the friends check every single box. The black twins, the Asian one, and the lesbian. There is not one single same race couple in this entire movie and there are a lot. Spanish sister is with a white male. The other Spanish sister has a white male love interest. The black male twin is with a white female. The two black twins mom is Randy's white sister from the first 2 so even though we never see it there is another obvious mixed race. Minor spoiler.....Spanish sister is Billy Loomis daughter so even Billy has been turned into a mixed race couple from the grave. The black
lesbian hooks up with an Asian girl. Hell even the killers are a mixed race couple. Complete Woke nonsense. Then they go on a speech about 'toxic fans' who don't like new movies being made ironically just like this one that shits all over originals with no originality whatsoever. Spoiler......one of the main killers is.... shocking a white male 'toxic fan' who hates what the Stab movies are doing to the franchise in the scream universe. Even the motive is woke garbage. Spoiler....every single person killed is white, not one of the many minorities is killed with the exception of one of the killers. The acting by most of the new cast is not very good and the dialog is typical of badly written modern movies. This also suffers the now common lazy garbage writing in everything now. Some examples-There is a loud violent attack in a hospital lounge with a security guard and nurse station right outside the door
and nobody hears anything. Sherriff goes flying down the street in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the day with siren blaring and tires screeching to a halt then gets attacked outside in broad daylight and not one neighbor sees or hears anything. Sam seeing and hearing Billy makes zero sense as she never met, saw or heard him ever in her life. A hospital with no staff around and almost no lights on. Dewey once again can't hit a target standing right in front of him. The final half
hour at the house goes into full silly parody territory. This is yet another unoriginal unnecessary, soulless woke desecration of a great franchise that should of never happened.

Everybody's got something to hide, except for him and his monkey
Like Billy Elliot, but straight. Mostly. With a monkey. Chimps are technically apes, but monkeys are more cheeky. And more fun by the barrel.
The lads speak like proper blokes. Like Harry Potter, but fun. Might be exotic for the Yanks. I think the Yankettes like that. That's a lot of likes. Channeling my inner Jersey girl. Normandy, not NJ.
The whole movie is pretty much apolitical. Williams comes from back when entertainers knew not to alienate half their audience. Fancy that.
As a movie, it's well-crafted, energetic, unapologetic, slightly self-reflective, sans the angst. The musical pieces also reminded me why I never was into boy bands. Or girl bands. Not the audience. Williams somewhat comes off as a Jamiroquai wannabe with Oasis envy, in a male Spice Girls act. Dreadful.
Being unfair here. From what little I've heard, he's a genial chap. Certainly seems so from his biopic.
Still, I enjoyed the movie. Probably means it's good.
And well, monkey.

Pretty good so far, getting ruined by covid bs
Really enjoyed this, i'm up to the last episode.
Not really any normal wokeness, no gay shit or anything too bad.
But.. I put it as a 1 as it's set during covid. It's not much but it reminds me of how fucking retarded 99% of people were depriving themselves of oxygen in masks. All the dumb shit like walking into a bar with a mask on then taking it off cos of 'science' and covid knew to adjust to it depending on the rules the government made up you know. There wasn't too much of this luckily, but it's still annoying and it has no actual reason for that part of the story.
Other than that highly recommended series.

It’s just a mess.
This isn’t woke, it’s just a mess.
Well, actually, it does have some woke elements, but it’s so all over the place that the woke stuff is the most coherent part. Honestly, I’d recommend watching something else—unless you’re in it just to see Jason Momoa in his best role. Yeah, no joke, he's actually not bad. Sure, it’s super cringe at first, but then he kinda becomes the best thing about the whole movie... and even that gets ruined by the movie itself. Anyway, it’s really only worth watching if you’re high and hanging out with friends.
P.S. Don’t do drugs, kids.

Bleh
This film must have had an extraordinarily low budget. I think there were only three set changes. The pacing was slow, the acting was a little cringe, and there were definite woke elements. Pretty bad overall production.
The quote the previous reviewer posted about “some old white guy” was really jarring and misplaced. But what was actually funny about the comment was the perpetrator ended up being “some old black guy,” but she never bothered to correct her statement. That would have been a really smart way to make a stab at the overarching narrative and hypocrisy. But no, she just let that comment sit. Typical.
And yes, we had an asexual protagonist that went out of his way to say so. Weird.
Dumb movie. I sensed they were going for an edgy indie style, and it felt forced and inauthentic. I watched the whole thing, and regret doing so. I really need to stop watching modern productions.

Nothing Woke. This is close in quality to 3 except maybe a little bit worse. Still watchable but some of writing is not so and there is some
problems with characters doing stupid things. Non of these characters is very likable either unlike with the original. For some unexplained reason
Dewey is suddenly totally normal with no limp or lame arm from the 2nd and 3rd one. He now for some reason also can't hit a target 20ft in front of him with multiple shots. There is also a very creepy comment from a police officer talking about a high school girl saying 'she can live next to me'. It's a very weird creepy pedo groomer moment and there is no reason for it.

Nothing really woke in this one. One instance of a black character making a comment about how hard it is to get work as an actor if your
black. That's really all I remember. This is the weakest of the OG trilogy. I rated it the same as the 2nd one but really probably more like
a 3.5 but you can give half points on this site. The acting is mostly ok but there are a few not so good actors as well. The story is ok I guess and is written to kind of tie everything together. The writing though is not as good. More problems with characters doing stupid things and some really stretches in logic and a few holes in the story that aren't explained and doing add up. Still worth watching and an ok ending to the trilogy.

A small amount of DEI overrepresentation in general casting. The opening scene with the black couple and Jada Smith being an openly racist
white hating nasty p.o.s. is disgusting. Brandy as the best friend is arguably a DEI hire as her acting is pretty bad. It's all small things
and the movie overall isn't really woke other than that. The writing is a little weaker than the first one with some questionable scenes and
Metcalf's acting isn't very good particularly the last half hour. Still a generally good movie and a worth sequel.

Nothing woke. This still holds up very well. Acting is good, the suspense and fx are well done. The writing is generally great though
there are a few problems its not enough to detract from the overall movie. A great 90's slasher classic.

Not woke
Quite a few familiar actors. Not a bad movie. Interesting premise. Set in Columbia so the the DIE casting was limited to a random durka durka and a few niggers.

Very moving.
An insight into the painful situation of divorced parents, specially when one is a "gaijin" (foreigner) in Japan, regarding the child custody. Very moving. No wokeness here... Or it was so subtle that I didn't even realized !

Skip.
It took 2 and a half episodes to see the needle reaching the red zone of my woke-o-meter. Skip. Apart from the wokeness, I never really got into the story, the characters, etc.
