Not woke
There’s one woke line Nieley says, pertaining to feminism. No gay scenes or characters, there’s your stereotypical “might-be-racist” or just a miserable A-hole, character.. but definitely doesn’t take it over the top with the racial tension. Also they champion being an bad*ss alpha and masculinity (Reacher is all that).. luckily the 2 skinny female leads in the second season are “careered special military units” so it makes it easier to believe they can fight a 220lb dude.. overall great show, the non-woke masculine stuff completely outweighs any wokeism

Subtle wokeness
The film includes a non-binary character named Milius, played by non-binary actor E. Duffy. However, this character is not a main character in part one of the film. It does not explicitly state that this character is LGBTQ, but it is evident from observing their portrayal.
I did not perceive any agenda being pushed; the character seamlessly blends in with the rest of the cast. The heroine is strong and tough, but she also exhibits past trauma and demonstrates the need for assistance to continue her journey. This display of vulnerability makes her more relatable and human. Overall, the film is definitely watchable. It bears a slight resemblance to Star Wars but is not bad. I am eagerly anticipating the second installment.

No Woke, Low Budget Zombie Film
No woke in this one. This is a low budget zombie film with good cinematography and acting. Unfortunately that's all it has going for it. While the acting is good they are given nothing to do with the characters. Nothing really happens and it's very slow and gets boring. There are very few zombies and they are so slow they're almost stationary. They pose no real threat resulting in no tension. The few kills are all offscreen with virtually no SFX. So if there's no blood and gore, the characters aren't engaging or interesting and there's no scares then what's the point. It's not the worst low budget zombie film just know what your in for.

LEO is a children’s movie that features a 74-year-old lizard named Leo who escapes from his classroom terrarium and becomes a therapist for his fifth-grade students. The movie is a musical comedy that stars Adam Sandler as the voice of Leo. The movie has been praised for its humor, heart, and message of friendship and acceptance.
Some of the themes that the movie explores are:
-The challenges of growing up and finding one’s identity
-The importance of empathy and compassion for others
The movie does not explicitly address any political or controversial issues, and it is mainly intended to entertain and inspire young audiences.
This is much better than the disgusting content coming out of Disney these days.

Strong start but loses it's way

Very strong opening. Excellent two to three episodes. Good production value with an important and rare story. Finally, something fresh. The immigrant experience.
How disappointing to be wrong.
It soon loses it's way. By mid-season, it's clear we're party to the old Bait-n-Switch. Unfortunately, it heads into fantasy and becomes yet another modern identity lecture. Strong independent women, awesome flawless minorities, 'pithweak' evil white men.
Even the excellent Sam Elliot gets relocated to the back seat.
This is just fantasy. Such an awful shame, as there really was great potential for many story threads and a valuable insight into the type of history that is overlooked now in favor of the usual 'victim' diatribes. What lack of insight. What incredible shortsightedness.
I had rated this and the early two episodes a 9. I was really enjoying it. By midway, I had to change the rating to a 7. At best. The focus, on just a few characters, who are more at home in the 21st century than the 19th... Give us reality. Not modern polemics. The cinematography is the only redeeming feature.
I won't watch the last 3 episodes. I refuse to be party to more of Hollywood's false moralizing narrative. A valuable opportunity squandered. A rejection of history. A juvenile soap opera.

Great show but falls victim to wokeness
The female main character is gay, some episodes show a gay pride primary school painted in rainbow colours

An Actually Decent Film
As other have already noted, the only woke is the DEI good black priest and the white bad priest. This is a very small amount of screen time and easily looked past. Good acting and generally good FX other than some weird cheap looking VFX at the finale. Not really scary but it is a well done entertaining film.
